You’re getting the allusions to the game it is hyping, mixed up with the story it is also telling, they are kinda seperate things. Lots of ARGs do this, it’s pretty common. And ultimately they all end up being non-canon to the game they are advertisings, actual narrative. Our knowledge of the games story and content, will in all likelihood help us progress the ARG, but it is not part of the games story. Emily is not IN NMS.
Though technically, as I’ve said in the ARG story discussion thread, Atlas would have simulated our planet (earth) in their original simulations as directed to by their creators, which would include our entire history, which would include, this ARG we are all experiencing and also include the game we all play. So this is where head canon can do some magic. You could even say, that version of our earth, in the Atlas’s universe, the ARG story could have been real rather than an ARG. Those old sims in theory could be within the deleted banks of the Atlas, within the world of glass.
But that still doesn’t make Korvax Prime, Emily. Nor the Atlas.
