Do we all get the same starter system? The one I was in had a hot planet, with activated indium and storm crystals.
I didn’t move on until I’d converted 10,000 chromatic metal, and sold 20 million worth of crystals. Coupled with the Vector, I should be OK for resources.

Yes, so did I (harsh storms, but no crystals). The hot planet was the one next door, in the same system.
I started on an ice world too. Dummy me forgot that i can claim the golden vector 
would have saved me a ton of time but I liked having the slight struggle of having no space in my ship so I decided after a few hours to just stick with the ugly ship I got.
For resources, I only gathered enough to last a few minutes and went strait to gathering a few nanites to buy two scanner upgrades to get credits from scans. Made about 2 million per planet visited. Purchased everything I needed from there.
Woe is me. No golden vector.

I too am no fan of combat. Because I avoid it, I’m also pretty lousy at it. 
I suggest to HG that they add a couple of sliders in Options:
Since we don’t compete for “scores,” this should keep more players happy.
I’d like to be able to at least see and take photos of all Horrors even in Creative Mode. That’s not possible right now.
Went on a quicksilver mission for Quad Servos. I only got three before I had to eliminate the big guy - which shut down all the sentinels. Wasn’t sure how to proceed. Finally got the additional Quad Servos from Storage in order to complete the mission.
You could always go to another planet, I guess.
