worked for me
Tried that in each saveā¦
Nothing.
If this is part 3ā¦4 is gonna be awesome lol
From what I have gathered, it requires the following:
- Having finished the Artemis Path (main story).
- Completed āA Trace of Metalā mission.
A Settlement is required, except on Switch, where you trigger it by warping 25 times. - Lifted the Seal from a Harmonic Camp.
Then warp to any system ā if that triggers a freighter battle, you must warp again.
Please donāt unblur this until youāve gotten it working on your save files and progressed a little in to starting your staff. Your foresight is on show
Egadsā¦I have not finished the Purge on PS5ā¦and 25 jumps on Switch
Okā¦bit mysterious but Iāll roll with it.
I still havnt even got it to trigger yet on any of my savesā¦
Thanks DP
Iāll have another go later. A bit burnt out ATM from trying to get it to trigger for hours. Iāll check those points you suggested & see where it goes next session.
Well⦠Quite a day. I finally got internet access. The Xfinity site said I might be eligible for a bill adjustment due to an outage in the area, I clicked on their link⦠And got an error.
After getting my PC back online, I opened Steam to install the update. Woo-hoo. Getting ready for tomorrow.
Then I decided to download the complete update web page at Hello Games⦠Only to have that crash every time I try.
⦠Canāt win today.
My old PC is not able to start this very wellā¦I gave up last night. I was able to complete the new quest but have yet to see a pirate freighter. Was collecting the points, whatever they are called, to purchase the new parts when the game decided to kill my pcā¦canāt get it to restart since the last exp patchā¦
Iāve played NMS from day 1. Iāve played through the Artemis mission dozens of times, but not for years now. None of my current working saves includes a completed Artemis mission. So I was righteously annoyed to find that the latest update requires me to go back and complete the damned thing yet again.
However, I now find that the Artemis mission has changed. The lore, in particular, has changed a lot. Itās now integral to all the new stuff thatās going on.
So Iām still annoyed at being forced to revisit Artemis, but, in all honesty, itās turning out to be quite entertaining and informative.
So @DevilinPixy, I am way behind on my settlement stuff in my oldest save (because I didnāt bother) & neither of my other 2 (expedition) saves have the Artemis or Atlas quests completed.
Seems it may be a while before I can see the new stuff from this update. Thatās ok. Itās been a while since I binged on any game. I know what Iām doing this weekend.
By the way, does anyone recall the best way to find a Harmonic Camp? I spent some time today wandering about on Dissonant worlds while waiting out Settlement tasks but havenāt randomly found a camp.
Wasnāt there a scanner or somethingā¦?
Echo locator dropped by corrupted sentinel quads and dissonent resonators, the drills.
I did artemis path for the first time in years during interceptor, I noticed a lot of the bits that make up the quest gel together better and the narrative does feel a lot more cohesive and informative about the universe. I couldnāt tell you exactly whats changed but I felt stuff that was alluded to previously is now more fleshed out due to updates related to it.
I couldnt remember, thought maybe it was take down a sentinel dreadnaught but thats just one way to find a crashed sentinel ship. Checked google hoping Echoes method wouldnāt ruin the search. It did not.
Harmonic camps can be located using an Echo Locator . These items can be found as a random drop from Corrupted Sentinel Quadruped and Dissonance Resonators.
edit: Sheryl beat me to it
Well, this explains why some were not seeing the connection when we were discussing lore recently. I have started the game on so many consoles, I did not know if it had changed or it was just making more sense with the newer story added.
So far, in several visits to the anomaly, Nada and Poloās dialogue re Artemis is totally different. Re-written to reflect current events.
Does Nada still go through that phase where they start giving you lots of quicksilver if you talk to them between certain missions? (cant remember which ones). Cos that was very nice of em to do that.
PSA
Hey, something I just discovered with the new Autophage that might be helpful to some who havent noticed it yet.
I havent bothered āpracticing language skillsā with them until I learn more words, but this is actually where the āask to learn new wordā option is for the autophage. Practice language skills now leads to two choices.
Learning a lot more words now
Like, current current events? Updated for Atlantid sillyness? I think Iāll have to run through it again when I finish the Voyager Expedition.
Yes. I donāt want to spoil too much.
New words have been added to all languages. You really want to speak autophage.
For those interested, SM is now posting on Threads
I read through some of the new lore added, when I pulled the strings. I liked the changes.
