People coming onboard on the discord. They are working out ways to track player numbers on consoles so it can be monitored along with Steam numbers.

Should we set some parameters for those who want to start looking for a great system now?
*Low sentinel activity
*Good weather
*Good resources.
*Nice looks
*Peaceful or calm or Relaxed system (so we won’t be attacked by pirates every 5th time we enter the system)
In other words, the ideal planet. 
It isn’t easy but it is possible.
And since this is difficult enough, let’s just accept whatever part of the galaxy it happens to be in?
And should we use ATLAS ECSD?
The people on the Discord still know us as ETARC so putting the E in there makes sense.
And please, do NOT post glyphs yet.

I’d love to start a fresh new location if we are to represent the forum for something special towards Hello Games’ celebration next year. Other players and the Discord likely only know us as such if they were early enough to have been somewhat familiar with the ARG. We do not really have an in-game presence as a forum community that represents a civilisation of some sort. I’d personally go with Atlas CSD. As many of you know, I do not feel a need to continue the ETARC mention, let alone possible confusion with previous ‘hub’ attempts by some of us.
For a location it would be nice to not be too crowded, whether that be in Euclid or another galaxy. Travel is easy, so getting there should not be a problem. I do prefer the good looks, nice weather, low sentinel activity, but it also needs to fit any plans we may come up with. A ‘paradise’ planet would be suitable for that matter.

ETARC is just a secret handshake now for oldies, so we can identify fellow veterans who served in the Loop16 wars.

It looks like ER Burroughs is searching Euclid for a perfect paradise planet for everyone to crash.
This is shaping up to be a world wide event from every country they can get in touch with.
I think maybe we should still have a planet of our own for the event in addition to the main one. For posterity and as a back up…just in case.

Oh yes, we can and likely should have our own location and celebration alongside. From what I gather many other communities are going to do the same. I imagine there will be a lot of ‘visiting’ happening too.
These are the event goals:
Massive worldwide player connection on August 9th, 2026, across all platforms
Special event streams across the NMS community
Live tracking of Steam player stats to measure the impact in real time
Global communication campaign to unite all NMS communities
