NEXT Patch notes - Steam Experimental [POTENTIAL SPOILERS!]

Perhaps it’s an issue with Yr gpu and how the game is telling it to handle tessellation, might be worth making a zen desk report with Yr pc spec and they could patch it or perhaps toggle the tessellation option in Yr GPU’s settings GUI and see if it behaves any differently.

All obvious stuff you’ve probably checked and done already but I’m at a party and feeling oddly over explanatory

I finally got tessellation working too! The late-August 399.07 drivers seem to be fast & stable for me (so far), with no big performance hit like the 411.70 had. I also realized I had to change the quality from Low to Normal to see any effect. :man_facepalming:

Unfortunately it still craters the FPS on my system, so I can’t play with it enabled. Still cool to see, and maybe I can eventually toggle it for pics.

I play with quality set to medium however, the ground is constantly ‘tessallating’ under my feet. So far, it has not resulted in any falling through to the watery depths below which is what I thought would happen. The ground stabilizes after a few seconds standing still. Of course, it seems only certain areas apply the tessellation so this is not a constant problem.

This is hilarious. The update has actually made the contents of my quicksilver shop disappear. It’s empty now. It was fine before the update.

Still waiting for them to fix the bug which stops container unit No. 1 being built.

They fixed it a few updates back but it came back again with 1.6 onwards.

I would like to see them fix the issue of spacecraft stopping in space!!!

Ah ok, so there’s one of the fixes
By now I think there won’t be patch notes, likely some quick hot-fixes next to removal of some of the upcoming feature spoilers … lol

Having really strange ground-shifting issues…dark areas popping around . Believe it may be a shader cache issue . Can someone remind me again where the files are so I can clear them…local disk>program files>steam>steamapps>shadercache? Do I delete everything?

i think I’ve been seeing this at the end of the teleport warp, like it’s drawing black terrain on top of the warp lines. Let us know if the cache refresh works.

I was hoping for a place to ask a general question in the survey. I want to know if there will be a purpose for the Atlas V4 Pass?
