News From The Void

The annoying thing about this too is that there are powerful and nefarious people doing their best to make sure the people are angry and blaming the wrong things for the mess. So ultimately we end up with two picket lines protesting eachother.

I’m so tired

At first I thought, isn’t that what Hotel rooms are for? Then I realised it didn’t specify a room and stopped at Hotel.

I’m not so sure (doesn’t even mention being drunk)

Since Putin and Trump don’t believe in climate change, I am concerned they may ignore the warnings. What would the world do if they were swept away during their meeting on Friday?

Part of me thinks they are very aware of it, but their approach is to just silently baton the hatches and hoard everything in for themselves. They see the only real solution is to make sure their bloodline persists, feck everyone else.

So I have to convince myself that this is just paranoia and that no, they’re really so up their own Ego they can’t fathom the idea of the world ending while they’re still on it. God chose them and that’s why he made them beautiful. Facts.

Meanwhile… here’s some gobshites that wouldn’t know a fact if it hit em in the face

(Vandalised an art piece with Christian iconography because they thought it had something to do with Islam or Judaism or something? Not clear, they’re obviously morons so it doesn’t matter what they thought it was)

Or they know it and plan on showing ‘everything is normal’ there is no danger. We live in a world of misdirection.

Things like this remind me of the end of the world movies where the elite believe nothing can touch them. We know how it ends for them.

It’s interesting that the summit is taking place in Alaska, which is territory acquired by the US from Russia. Thus justifying Russia acquiring territory from Ukraine.

At least the U.S paid for Alaska vs. ocupied it.

Maybe it’s part of the peace deal. We will give it back in exchange for peace….

Actually, I think it is strategic because it is so close to Russia. Kind of like saying we are watching you.

Or we are neighbors

Or whatever is rolling around in T’s head

I think it plays to the argument that “Some countries are geographically destined to unite” - like the US, Canada, and Greenland - and like Russia and Ukraine.

Who knows? Inside T’s head is not a place I would want to hang out

Why not? Must be lots of free space in there! :stuck_out_tongue:

Some good news. The flooding was largely contained due to barriers placed along the river. Basically large plastic barrels full of dirt…

However, every year the flood water are higher.

Seems all is clear for tomorrow’s big meeting.

Though my expectations are low, it would be nice to see at least one war come to en end. Though I doubt either side will be very happy with the results.

War is so much waste.

Under what conditions is cesium in the same room with shrimp? Is there a process I am not aware of?

Given that the shrimp (called prawns in this country) are sourced from Indonesia, the Cesium 137 (mostly produced in nuclear reactors) was most likely washed into the sea from Fukushima - where it was absorbed by algae and bacteria, which were in turn eaten by the shrimp.

I wondered about that. Thanks!

I will stick to catfish and crappie sourced locally.
