Well the picture was a joke about people’s perceptions of England. It is a photo of where I live, but it was taken around 1910. I thought the clothes, the horse-drawn delivery vehicle, and the lack of cars were a bit of a giveaway.
If it looks like the Wild West, it’s because it’s around the right date, and it’s the kind of place immigrants to the American West came from - bringing their architecture with them.

Here’s one from a place near me. Interesting story about the Hoo Hoo. This town was much more in the past than it is today. Definitely no theatre in town now but , the Hoo Hoo club survives. Kinda.

I’m wondering how long it will take to work out that the only affordable way to round up so many immigrants in such a short time is to raise a volunteer militia. It wouldn’t be economic to provide them with full uniforms - but perhaps they could have a distinctive dress code? Shirt colour, maybe?

Being blocked by HooHoo feels like its something worth bragging about. Like if you were trying to get in with the cool kids in some sort of 80s movie plot attempt to prove you still “got it”, you might say “yeah well this old fart got blocked by hoo hoo dot com, bet I’m sounding pretty cool right about now huh gang?”.
It’s impotant I’m also a loser in my fantasies. It’s funnier.

It blocks my uk ip, but if i use an American one it works fine. Ironically Hoohoo is not that international.
