What do they mean the code from high school ??

Are they that young ?

Are they gonna talk in a code they used while they were in high school ???

How can one sentence confuse me so much

I would say probably a code they used in high school, implying their relationship goes way back, and ita something theyve used for so long that they havent written it down or put it somewhere easily compromised in years or decades.

Perhaps restoring access to the Systems historical memories/archive will get us this code?

It might even be a joke between them from back then, perhaps something highly visible and notable on the school they may have gone to. Its address or visible lettering/numbers on its exterior or surrounding artwork?

Perhaps its a school near the landmarks already discussed.

When we were 17

I reckon. That’s the Lycee age, 15-19.

“When we were 17”

So Ghost and Architect were born in 1985.

Which puts them in their early 40s.

The author of this book is Unknown?

Any ideas on the “unknown.jpg”?

EDIT: cross post, I guess that answers that question.

Which would be impossible, because the book was released this year (as far as I can tell).

The game on the cover, I foeget its name, but it was inspired by the illustrations and style of Moebius.

Was a fun game, never finished it though.

Edit:

Sable!

Ah, you posted same time i edited haha, thanks @VOIEVOID

so what does it say?

Maybe they are currently trying to remember the High School code…

Maybe they forgot what it was.

Maybe we can help them remember

@AlexWinter mentioned the top line translates to simplicity is the ultimate sophistication. A leonardo da vinci quote, if they recall correctly.

So whatever the solution is, it will be simple, but sophisticated?

My guess is the answer lies hidden within the cipher, and the book is part of the key.

I think perhaps the cover, moreso than the books content is the aspect of simplicity.

Sable is too modern a game, as is the book… so Moebius is maybe part of the key? They were a french artist after all, and highly influential and well known, maybe a hero of theirs from their high school days.

Can you decipher what is written across the top? It is French, no doubt

Edit. It seems @toddumptious mentions it above…
