Starship Flight 12

Launch currently in less than 30 mins.

A SpaceX Starship-Super Heavy rocket (collectively referred to as Starship) will launch from Starbase, Texas, on a suborbital flight. This will be the 12th flight of the integrated launch vehicle and the first launch of a version 3 rocket. SpaceX will launch the mission using the Ship 39 upper stage and Booster 19 first stage. SpaceX will not attempt to catch the Super Heavy booster back at the launch site. Ship 39 will deploy 20 Starlink simulator satellites along the suborbital flight path, with two designed to relay imagery of the Starship heat shield upon deployment. Delayed from May 15. Delayed from May 19 and 20. Scrubbed May 21 due to “the hydraulic pin holding the tower arm in place” being unable to retract.

Meanwhile, the SpaceX IPO is developing into the scam of the century. Almost getting south sea company vibes here. Elon, while I appreciate the homage, please do not turn this reality into the background story of my game!

Has anyone made that as a corvette in NMS yet?

IIRC I saw an attempt a few weeks after the release. It was identifiable, but not especially accurate. Not been on the various sites enough since to know if there’s been a better attempt since.

Renowned AI professor spent too long talking to their LLM who unfortunately, has spent too long talking to NMS players currently participating in an ARG

Very annoying that this post from astroscroll, does not even link to a source. I wanna see what this Prof is actually saying and what their actual background is.

edit:

Found him I think

I get the impression they spent a little too long thinking about Simulation Theory

I find his view to be very self-centred and human focused. His theory does not really take the possibility of other more advanced beings been out there in the cosmos somewhere, who may have already made this AI the simulation is testing for… Should we not have been turned off by now, in this completely unknowable case?

Also hilarious coincidence, you could shorten his name to Ro-Man Skiy,
