NASA’s Crew-6 Heads to Space Station to Conduct Scientific Studies
(NASA)
Are there any women astronauts on the team? >.>
Looks like 4 men.
Not unless Stephen Bowen drops out as spacecraft commander for Jasmin Moghbeli to replace him. She is listed as backup and scheduled for her first flight with Crew-7 (next up, planned for August this year).
I am green with envy ![]()
I thought I had found a decent shop with a reasonable price after finding a coupon code as well. Just too bad I could not for the life of me get PayPal balance to work for me there. Still expensive though as soon as it needs to be shipped abroad and with VAT added.
Code: cart12off-bbf0b6f made it close to $50
Ended up on eBay (usaf space) instead, getting them all separate, no code, expensive shipping and VAT.
Yay for things we do not commonly see around here. For good quality, it is best to look for the A-B Emblem ones in this case, as they are the official suppliers for NASA.
I am still pretty new to those patches, but looking around you sure notice quite a lot of differences between patches and their quality. They appear to be easily reprinted or even embroidered, so make sure to pay close attention when interested. There are still good ones out there though, amongst the not so ‘official’
My main concern is getting hooked … hehehe
The only patches I have ever collected were these
I have all of them from

This is one of my favorites
In my opinion, this is one of the ugliest
Too many stitches
Oh wow, now you made me turn all green ![]()
Crew-6 launch
I am not sure I’ll be up at that time, but here’s the info and live stream, targeted to launch from Launch Complex 39A (LC-39A) at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida starting 1:45 a.m. ET (6:45 UTC).
Crew 6 launch scrubbed
The launch team called the effort off less than 2.5 minutes before T-0, citing a ground-system issue.
“Teams were tracking a ground issue with TEA-TEB — that’s the ignition fluid that actually sparks with the oxidizer and allows the engines to fire,” NASA commentator Gary Jordan said during the agency’s webcast of Monday’s launch attempt.

Next opportunity on Tuesday at 1:22 a.m. EST (06:22 UTC), which could make this a new record for launching 3 vehicles within 12 hours that day, with 2 Starlink missions launching from Vandenberg - and Cape Canaveral Space Force Bases
Update:
Crew 6 Launch
It appears they’ll stick to the Thursday, March 2 opportunity as initially mentioned, with the window opening at 12:34 a.m. ET (5:34 UTC). Backup opportunity available on Friday, March 3 at 12:11 a.m. ET (5:11 UTC).
Cooool ![]()
I randomly bought this as a child and stuck it on a blue (now faded) overall lol (I assume it was the last one left over since I have no association with Apollo 16 specifically):
It’s reeeeeeal ![]()
Now launch set for 3:45pm ET.
Launch scrubbed for today.
Currently the next launch: Saturday, March 11, 2023 1:00pm ET
Crew 5 to return
It’s been busy with 11 onboard the ISS since crew 6’s arrival a week ago. I find that pretty intriguing to be honest, 11 astronauts orbiting the earth multiple times a day. This coming Saturday however, Anna Kikina, Josh Cassada, Nicole Mann, and Koichi Wakata, are planned to make a return to less regular spins. Still impressive, with 7 remaining up there, doing loop 16 on a daily basis ![]()
I do wonder though, … how do they all feel about DST ??? ![]()
