Are we perhaps dispersed amongst different regions? Weâre all placed in Euclid, but my system is specifically located in Nidont region. Are we spread out in some kind of satellite web, or like a mesh extender for internet? Maybe System wants as many eyes across Euclid as it can.
Is there anything meaningful about the locations each of you were assigned? ⊠Do you have any idea why you were dispersed across the entire Universe?
I think that part of the architectâs full reply above may be quite important.
It made me think, are we being âhiddenâ or protected from something so that we can not be found and erased. Or more specifically lessen the chance of our memories, new memories being found. An entire universe is big after all, finding anything in it is an even bigger task.
Maybe if that is a bit of a wild theory, perhaps instead we should be trying to find a planetary building like a Library Archive somewhere in the systems that contains memories in them?
Unfortunately my system is uninhabited. So far the most curious thing I have found is an anomalous creature listed in the discovery info as âAlways Watchingâ.
Maybe we should be seeking Travellers for their memories in the systems, if they are present?
Why would we be assigned systems? Hmmmmm⊠![]()
There is a traveller on the space station in the system I was sent to, will check that out.
Just one of the usual traveller interactions, but I did get yet another Grave of the Ocean King encounter on my way to the grave, it happens very regularly when I pulse in this system.
At a first glance, it looks evenly/randomly distributed.
Archie says explicitly that the primes where converted to NMS hex coordinates using an algorithm. That is similar to how proc gen works (which maps coordinates to planet properties, more complex of course), isnât it? [Removed wordy example]
Can someone share the link again of each prime and each operator and their hexadecimal portal address, is there a pattern? E.g. @Rinha , can you share the table you used (CSV or whatever you have) for your visualisation?
Yes, I believe youâre correct on the general concept of the algorithm, in that theyâve taken our prime number (or its index, e.g. 2 is the prime 1, 3 is prime 2, 5 is prime 3 etc), applied some function to it, and it generates the portal code.
Unfortunately, I donât have the list of everyoneâs prime number, just the terminal output. But I donât want to distribute peopleâs portal codes in case certain untrustworthy people start discovering systems just to deprive the assigned owner of the discovery. This the same reason that the list of operator primes was hidden on YourBasicMathsâ spreadsheet.
My graph only shows the voxel coordinate, which is the region in which our designated star sits. Each region contains hundreds of systems - so itâs still relatively safe to share that level of information. However, without the prime numbers, itâs rather difficult to determine a pattern. I did try looking at mapping a few myself for numbers I know, but whatever formula theyâve used isnât the same as the ones I tried - and the calculation for the various distributions is too complex for me to reverse engineer. ![]()
However, Iâm not sure that the algorithm itself is the key, but perhaps the features of our star systems themselves. Or perhaps it goes back to an earlier statement by System:
Each entity is unique. Together they are one.
(e.g. DIAGNOSTIC â project-skyscraper , Code â project-skyscraper )
Weâve been distributed throughout the Euclid âuniverseâ (as The Architect referred to it), with no clashes, but we are still one group (âMAIN FAMâ, as we have called ourselves).
might be stupid question, but what is systemâs email?

@astrosurf66 , @YourBasicMaths and @jordan? are now up on the Shared Dream Postcard wall <3
Wooohooo ![]()
Thank you, Archie!
edit: uh, I mean, for building System, without whom, I would have no space on this communal fridge!
Ahem, I think you mean System

updated for clarity ![]()
Now Iâm wondering what kinda food they have in there⊠Besides pizza and wasps.
twice! an unexpected honor! takes a bow, falls over
[also, Iâm down to just one underground critter on Moonmist; I donât know if it will be much of a photo-op, but System will certainly get an update when I find it]
I was thinking I felt like you were up there already. Guess we can get more than one on. ![]()
May I ask, did you send a second email in to System with more photos, or did System decide they liked more than one from your initial set?
After I sent in my original photos I did some more exploring of my system and discovered way more that I could have sent the first time.
it is from a second email. in my first email, I told System I would keep them updated as to my surveying progress, and finishing that base (all but for some final decor) seemed like a good time to check back in.
Finally got to send my postcard
Hello system,
I wanted to share a few of my adventures from Window 31 for you to see. I have enjoyed time skydiving on a bubble planet called Rellee, flying through the beams of a light planet called Sliet, and making sand castles on the beach of Obur. Thank you for the window and I hope to show you one day personally.
Xoxo

Excited to see which one they choose, theyre all amazing.
