Ah, we’re kind of in the same boat as I have a photonix core and 2/3 freighter warp drives. Until yesterday I’d actually forgot I had them installed; not quite sure why its warp cells survived NEXT intact whereas those my in my #1 spaceship didn’t.
My guess is that the photonix core gives several bonuses whereas modules just give the one.
