All of Pratchett’s Discworld series, The Hobbit and TLotR trilogy,
And lately, the nine book sci-fi/fantasy series called Star Kingdom.
I can’t read much these days so I usually listen to the audio book versions --with the exception of the Lord of the Rings because the reader’s singing hurts my ears. Sheesh.
That’s a start.

Hmph. I’ll have to contradict the author on this one… 
In my opinion, any books from the Robot series can be read in whatever order, they’re all good, all self-contained.
Whether or not your read the Robots before, after, or around the foundation doesn’t matter.
It is however vital to read the original foundation triology before its prequels . The prequels are an interesting read if you know foundation, but… let’s just say they have a difficult time standing on their own.

I’m pretty sure I found @the_architect’s book of poetry at a thrift store the other day. It will be going above my altar with a few of my other faves.
My life has become a synchronistic roller coaster of happenings. It’s like being able to control the weather. Archi-Poems… I laughed out loud when I found it.
Totally unique in form. I would equate it to reading architectural schematics through lines of code contained within a paperback book of poetry. A truly rare gem.

I was a big fan of Alan Dean Foster’s Sci fi (the Spellsinger stuff was okay, but not as good for me). Nor Crystal Tears was the first one I bought - I decided to buy a book with a cool space ship cover, without paying attention to the what it might be like. Loved it and it was probably the best one to start with.
My daughter got hold of them off my bookshelf and read them all in her teens too, which was nice.
I often have half a thought on his stuff when I create screenshots in NMS. I might try and re-do some, one day (I probably won’t).
