Thanks to @DevilinPixy for the help once again, I couldn’t have gotten this without their guidance.
I was going in for a completely different model but then I saw him… The Astronaut!
I remember seeing them once before, in the weeks after launch. But the shield was between their legs and the lightsaber was connecting the shield to the feet, I thought it was a wheel and foot pegs.
I had lots of fun placing the sword and shield in their hands.
I’m also not sure if I’d seen them rendered with colour before, I feel like someone posted it here in the past but more Astronaut can’t hurt

Its worth pointing out my character is set to the shortest height too…

I’m not sure why the VyKeen heights keep changing. At some point, they definitely shrank. Really should be reported I guess. They don’t seem nearly so fierce when they are short

All the NPC’s can have varying heights now but I think in this instance I hit the tiny NPC bug which sometimes accompanies the Tiny ship bug. Neither of which I’ve seen for some time.

For a while my personal Korvax buddy at his science station aboard my freighter (Legacy Save) was noteably taller & oversized. I’m not sure if has ever corrected as I havent played for a bit.

Deep Hole Glitch
I’m finding that when ‘drilling’ using the T.M. to uncover a deeper Buried Technology, I occasionally get (with a single tap of the button), a perfect hole drilled straight to the bedrock.
Depending on the terrain & the angle this can be extremely deep.
This typically occurs in any generic little base area & I think it may be associated with boosting in to dig a tagged item & quickly actioning the T.M. before everything has rendered.
It doesnt cause any drama other than a slight fall risk but I thought I’d mention it.
Also noticed on very rare occasions, Buried Technology that can’t be interacted with.

I’ve noticed this too but found it very useful for my permadeath playthrough and for quick escapes, so I soon began referring to it as a “feature”.
I find it happens if I stare directly down or maybe 5-10 degrees off of directly down.
But now that you mention the boosting… I can’t say I wasn’t doing that either because I’m always running from something that wants me dead.

I got ambushed by sentinels on an aggressive planet just after loading the truck. In my panicked attempts to get away, boost jumped and flattened two.
Then as they rose up into the sky to pursue me, they lifted me up with them
I has just put the elastic wheels on too

I was doing a treacherous delivery along a narrow ridge with steep drops on either side; aggressive sentinels and wether too… just ahead of me the ground was preparing to open up to more favourable driving conditions.
NPC ship landed right in my path just I reached it, no way around it

That almost happened to me, too! Were we all funnelled along the same path with the same events? I was going very slowly and had stopped right when a trader landed in front of me.

When I put crates in the bed and try to force the one shown, right next to it in this same orientation, so they should be nice and tight, my truck runs off every time

PS: There’s a reddit thread with half a dozen people with similar experiences, but they don’t mention loading as the cause.
