Thanks guys, and thank you hello games for the birthday update 
I’ve had my PC for 11ish years now and I finally got around to buying a PC desk (I’ve been using whatever surface/stacked books are available in apartments/family home over the years).
It was a birthday gift to myself.
I stayed up til silly o’clock playing the wonderful update hello games got me for my birthday that I ended up sleeping in and missing my delivery for the desk. Darn you, Hello Games

NPC ships at colossal archives are having a bit of a problem not phasing through the landing pads and getting stuck in the artifact exchange vaults below 
These were all taken at different collosal archives (I was exchanging the last of my exchangeable treasures to see if there were new bone rewards)
I noticed this a lot during the expedition, the light beams at the Paleontological dig sites go very far, and through terrain too. Very noticeable on hillsides and cliff tops

Went AFK to go outside for an IRL smoke break, came back to my character drifting towards the atmosphere. Looks like a lightning bolt during a storm blasted me away (ive seen bases made with chair glitches that blast you up into space so I assume it’s a similar trick happening here by the storm/chair collision)
(feel free to FFW through the 8 mins, I just did a quick clip and dump, initial impact starts at beginning)
I kept slowly drifting at this trajectory, I eventually hit space and started losing life support so decided to stand back up. I could see storm clouds below me but I enjoyed perfect weather while above them; soon as I dipped below the rain rendered in, a very nice touch to experience outside of a starship.
I got a great view of the museum I’m building so that was a bonus (circled in red)
Bonus vid of a base with a purpose built rocket chair I visited over a year ago (judging by my traveller, spotted during an expedition before we could bring our primary save over to expedition)

This is not about a glitch in the game, it’s about a glitch in me.
I am frequently required to battle “Dread Pirate Zogboom” or “Dread Pirate Igglewiggle” - except, when the text comes up, for the first second or so, I don’t see “Dread”, I see “Dead”.
Fighting dead people gives a whole different flavour to the game.

I got this skeleton astronaut toy in a garden sale once, wasn’t any toys I saw on the market but maybe some holdover from a failed 80s launch of yet another cartoon to sell action figures.
Your post reminded me of it, unlocking a slew of memories. I was even more shocked to discover googling “astronaut skeleton toy 90s” actually yielded a result.

My friends that I play with and I (6 people total) have all had the same bug. After the update launched all our base color schemes got reset and or randomized. When attempting to replace and fix this we are only able to use the weathered option for said material. I’m hoping this gets resolved as we are all big into base building and this has essentially ruined months (years in some cases) of progress as this issue spans over all our bases including freighters

Congratulations on knowing 6 people you can play No Mans Sky with. You’ve done what for most of us was seen as an impossibility. Convincing your friend you’re NOT crazy and this game is GREAT.
How did you do that? All my friends have started screening my calls
