All PCs are now inferior. I lose so many hours of game time taking a break to make a latte with my espresso/milk steamer thingy (i so know the names of coffee machines :p) this would allow for so many more activities.
Though going up and down the stairs is exercise i would certainly lose out on. The pros and cons on this one are tricky.
I’m still going to play it, I’m probably going to enjoy it, but this to me seems like a bad move, and their reasoning doesn’t make much sense either.
This is a core piece of Fables identity…
They could have easily introduced a more complex morphology system to equate for the grey areas of being; a charming prince with tentacle postules, some sort of curse from the sacrifices they made for good etc… Nope, just get rid of it.
Seems like a good decision to me, but then, I never understood fable in the first place. It touted itself as this “Immersive fantasy life-sim adventure” but was an average, mostly linear hack-and-slash with a cooky-cutter story and flat morality choices thrown in that in the end only served cosmetic character customization, which is the most uninteresting aspect of a game for me. I was so utterly appaled by the first game that I never touched anything in the series ever again.
I don’t remember much about it it. I know I played it, back in the day, but there was nothing particularly outstanding or memorable. Did I have the opportunity to get married, or am I imagining that?
Clearly the original didn’t make much impression on me.
You had, but it was entirely pointless. A busy-work mini-game completely divorced from the actual game in all aspects. It had no impact on neither character or story or anything. Didn’t even come with a romance plot, as annoying as those sometimes tend to be.
Same here.
I am however quite interested in this new reboot of the franchise & given I have no memory of the earlier versions I’ll happily give it a chance on a stand alone basis.
It looks good, so fingers crossed it is.
I remember crude jokes and the ability to furnish homes and yes, you could get married.
The game was really a question of what kind of hero would you be? A saint or an evil bas**rd? Though, I think you were the latter no matter what road you chose…
This could be good but I worry it’s going to have the same problems that all modern musicals have had Lets hope theres some diversity in those 130 tracks and some actual story craft within the music (I feel modern musicals have abandoned that vital piece from its music in favour of standalone catchy streamable pop)
On the plus side, it’s given me an excuse to dig out my Rocky Horror Vinyl and jump around the house
I follow her too (and some others), but had not seen this one yet. I don’t think this game is one I’ll enjoy though. Funny I actually watched this video a few days ago
I love the fact she is not afraid of singing in the lower registers. I have sung standing near some men who say, “you need to raise your voice. You should be singing higher.” I am an alto, not a soprano. Needless to say, these are men who really know nothing about singing. So I love the fact she sings the game character in a very low register. It’s awesome!
So funny. We were at the local college last week and they had music playing across the campus from the main tower. My daughter was like, this sounds vaguely familiar…and I said, it’s K pop Demon Hunter Golden.
DLSS is getting ridiculous now, the UI being this crisp was not something it could do very well in the past… And at these extreme low resolutions, that’s even more impressive.
Ps5, PC, Nintendo, Xbox, or VR. what are some of your favorite video games to come home to after a long day of work or school? my personal favorites are the Marvel spider man trilogy or red dead redemption 2, sometimes even god of war or baldur’s gate 3. I also love an indie horror game. what are some of your favorites?
