Someone said it could be a reference to a song by The Doors called “Light My Fire” but I doubt that. I think they would have used a fire emoji.
I think this might be a lot more obvious such as a rework to portals.

My speculation on the emoji is that its one of those ones that’s teasing the title moreso than the content. No Man Sky Expedition Passegways or something along those lines.
I also speculate it to be an Expedition with possibly some new content or feature for the main game but I’m not banking on the latter. We’re close to December Redux and I think we’re shy an expedition though we have only gotten three in a year before so it wouldn’t be unusual.
Just trying to keep expectations in check and base them on pattern/observation. I can’t imagine too crazy an update after the last one we just got.
If I was to let my brain loose and wild… Procedural Planetside “Dungeons”. But…

Going for “No Man’s Sky: Gateways” for a portal themed expedition building on what we got in The Cursed. Fits the Halloween timing, gives HG another expedition to rerun at the end of the year, and probably doesn’t need as much Dev time as another content update this soon.
