I saw somebody get to “melee weapons” following that same line of thought with Stinger.
Its been a long sought-after addition from many fans, I hope they finally get it. Technically our staffs are, but theres no pleasing everyone

On that line of thinking, Stinger is also one of the most iconic moves from the Devil May Cry series. Highly doubt HG would turn NMS into a character-action hack-n-slash, but it was the first thing that came to my mind when I heard Stinger.

A stinger is also a surface to air shoulder rocket launcher. That turret we have always wanted would be nice. Especially if Void Mother is about to swarm in.

There’s even a person named ARG --uh, no, it’s Argh-- who guesses the 
update will be about drones. 
Sentinel drones update? Hm… Needs to sound cooler for marketing… Sentinel hive update? Hm that sounds like the drones demanded settlements of their own, and the sentinel pillars will turn into insect hotels…

Just a heads up!
Someone allegedly leaked the NMS Press Brief sent out to sponsored streamers for tomorrows festivities (absolute shame on them if so); there will be a lot of possible spoilers for tomorrows update cropping up in your algorithmic news feeds across all traces of the internet so be careful where you step.
Stay safe out there Travellers, no way to tell if this is true or a hoax without actually actively looking in to it

Yikes. I saw an alleged “leak” posted on Reddit about a day ago, but It sounded pretty far fetched.
Is the briefing leak recent? If so, it might mean that what I saw was just made up before the actual leak.
Where’d you find out about the briefing leaking btw, if you don’t mind me asking?

I saw a few posts floating around about it today and quickly scrolled past, there’s a few live streamers talking about it too all dated to just a few hours ago showing up in my “watch next” pane when viewing youtube videos.
An assumed press brief was supposed to be received by sponsored streamers today so I just made that connection, that this was the source of this sudden surge of “leaked” update news that has suddenly flooded my feeds.
Hence the careful wording of my post with allegedlys and if so’s. Either way, theres info out there that may or may not colour one’s experience and surprise for tomorrow so thought I’d get the warning out there if I could.
I couldn’t make out much from what my periphery caught and I have no desire to look into it any further Real or not, I would say that it’s pretty scummy of content creators to game the algorithm and have what could be spoiler heavy stuff in both their thumbnails and titles.
It is easy to just say “possible leak” in a headline and have just the emoji in the thumbnail and leave it at that. But they chose not to

First thing I thought about when I saw the Bee. I was actively involved in that ARG, was also my first intro to what an ARG is. A crazy coincidence or sean knows precisely how to mess with our heads with an ARG of questionable origin currently afoot

In case the coming update is related to Halo (implied by I Love Bees ARG), I checked for upcoming Halo events.
November 15
The 25th anniversary of the Halo franchise, with the release of Halo: Combat Evolved.
Nov. 15 is not near today, which does not favor this interpretation. Also, exploring xenophotographer me is personally hoping that combat doesn’t “evolve” to be tougher or more widespread, etc.

Yes, I believe Korvax and Sentinels are both confirmed hiveminded species. Korvax are connected by the Convergence and Sentinels by the Atlas (albeit ever weakening according to in-game lore).
