We once had a thriving snappie, clappie and puffer thread. That was kinda the thought behind it. Especially the snappies because they are so good at hiding. You’re just walking along, admiring the scenery, when SNAP you’ve been hit! Sadly, it does not happen as often now. Snappies used to be more plentiful. I suspect their ranks were reduced by the introduction of puffers…or maybe we almost culled too many…

I remember those days. I honestly dislike them. Their snap… snaps the immersion for me… Lol. their reach is ridiculous. I think the reach went down a bit now but I wish they actually contacted you to hit you.

Ahh yes, I believe those are of the species Gopherus Bigassus.
Funny thing about those guys, they respond to food pellets, but don’t do anything else. They’d burrow on over to eat them, and hang out a while after being fed, but ya still can’t interact with 'em.
