All Waking Titan websites are now offline, except for CSD and Myriad

Yeah definitely there needed to be some steps to the process for sure, still it was entertaining if a little frustrating. It is what it is.

Hey, I did not run anywhere, come on that’s mean. In fact, you can probably reach me almost everyday and weekend on my Discord. Let me get back after E3 and I’ll take care of the last 25 extra passes we have.

As for the drop, the algo was pretty basic, x% was distributed to the one who started the ARG from day 1, x% who completed all puzzle, x% to the Reddit user (whatever the state of the progression), etc… There were other variables also, the way you answered the many Atlas survey, if you opened and interacted with the Atlas newsletter, what you did in the Waking Titan terminal, etc…

It was not just one random selection but rather a % drop rate per segment we have created. And yeah, the designation ID was the segment in question.

Cheers!

I have to add, part of the progression tracking was done via the website cookie, so if you did delete your cookie, you may have ended in the ā€˜general’ segment. That was not perfect, but since we did not have a login/user profile system that was the best I could do.

Thank you so much for clearing that up! :hugs:

Published in April this year, there is an article on the Alice and Smith website about the Waking Titan ARG. It’s all in past tense and reads like a post-mortem, so I think we can safely say that WT is over for good.

Actually, it was published last week, I just pre-date the article to set the order they will be displayed. Don’t look too much into what it means, I just wanted to talk about our work on our site before I did my meeting at the E3.

What can I say? Some of the most active supporters of both No Man’s Sky and Waking Titan did not receive Atlas passes.

Waking Titan was an amazing journey. A story well told, and well executed. But for its success, it relied on the support of hundreds of willing volunteers.

There could have been some kind of recognition for the people who supported both No Man’s Sky and Waking Titan - but it didn’t happen.

Good to see you @Anashel and thanks for answering some questions here.

Not a fan of Discord, but I can confirm …

Never seen confirmation of anyone receiving a ā€˜limited edition’ pass, but I am sure it will make some very happy, sending out the remaining 25, even though it’s been a while

Enjoy E3, looking forward to see what’s new.

Thanks Polyphemus for the feedbacks and yes, you are right! We will do better next time in terms of memento and physical rewards.

Totally off topic, but why does it show a piece of pie with my name?

Edit: Ah, never mind … time flies I guess

I still hope something ARG like, might be revealed once Beyond arrives and full multi-player participation becomes a reality. No Man’s Sky somehow has grown to become a fun tool that could bridge the gap between an ARG in the real world and in game exploration. I hope some experimentation continues with this concept.

In-game Community events are more likely.

So they have all been sent? … ok. The waiting and hoping for me is over. Back to normal :expressionless:
