I doubt anything visually in the image itself will give us clues since the code on the monitor is from an expedition, the book is from gravity falls, and the image was submitted by an operator that has no connection to the ARG’s PM or puzzle designs.
The filenames for the images are the only thing giving us a key, and I think vision being the only intellagable one, was supposed to lead us to Monoyer. The april 1990 post is probably the Architect now giving us an extra clue since we didn’t get there ourselves. The read order of a monoyer chart as well as how he hides his name in the chart, is probably our next clue on solving/decoding the HEX in 16 hallucinations.
Eh, I thought maybe the PM decided to adjust, play along, and go with the flow of what was submitted. There was furniture heard moving and all (And I was using the read order of a monoyer chart and trying to decode the hex.)

Especially as ‘real’ seems to come up a lot in the Matrix video clip in the Wreckage post. Monoyer was known to change the font of a particular letter if it didn’t suit him; after all, if you’re going to judge a person’s vision by it, that letter had better be as legible as possible!
Wreckage version: only the non-repeating rows, 8x62
“Logic”
65DOS cover art + Matrix reference => tried to plot each 12 char image hex as data matrix; then combine in 4x4 grid according to “16 hallucinations”
In 8 wide version there were 17 pairs of repeated rows, which makes me think it’s the right track, it’s unlikly there would naturally be so many repeats and only pairs
References to repeating structure & wreckage => this version now has any repeated rows removed (62 remain)
Moyoner chart hint => I guess we have to read up the right side from the bottom and left side from the bottom; ignoring first and last char would be a nice round 60 characters
