Some of the bugs are pretty bad in experimental. I wonder if the expedition will start on time?

Also worth bearing in mind, the expedition has already been coded. But the game has been patched since then - it’s no longer the same game the expedition was written for.

I assume they have a toggle so they don’t have to keep the code for the expedition in a different branch. That would be a nightmare…

I’m more concerned that progress in the expedition is dependant on flags and conditions in the main game. If the expedition expects a certain flag to be set, or a certain condition to be ā€œtrueā€, and those flags and conditions have been changed, or moved, or even no longer exist, then major problems will result.

ā€œFixed an issue that could cause the inside of the player’s head to be visible while using the starship communicator.ā€

Adding this to my ā€œBugs I wish I had seen for myselfā€ list.

According to my older brother, those were camel races.

What I kept seeing in 1st person was some kind of warp field around me. It caused a bubble-like ring around me when I moved

I had to take a roadtrip so haven’t played or updated the PS5 for a few days. Seems like it might be best to just wait until these bugs are all sorted.

I only have 2 saves these days: My carefully preserved Legacy & my Test Pilot (which is my new update/sacrificial save).

I did get a go on both saves & built a Corvette (pic in screenshots) in my Test Pilot save & collected 2 full vaults worth of bits in my Legacy save. I love the update but sheesh is it buggy

Also, I thought an expedition was starting too but I haven’t seen any mention of it anywhere here…

In experimental and the Anomaly now warps away when I leave it. It is kinda cool. I wonder if they are attempting to solve an issue…

I have actually made a few minor changes to the list. Nothing all that special

I figured out one function where the corvette refund cache comes into play.

I was building a new one to try out a few different build ideas but nothing I wanted to finalise. When I backed out without saving the build for later editing, it refunded all of the parts into the cache.

Look forward to the patch that allows us to just use it as storage for all the bits

Edit:

You can use Gestures while skydiving, this includes dancing. Have fun!

After the latest patch, I’ve seen more of them walk around again (in the settlement) as they used to. I’ll check the stuck ones in the freighter after the expedition.

My brother just turned on NMS for the first time in about 2 years.

:joy: Blown away

My freighter guys are walking around again. I played my main save for a while after the expedition started.

The weekend Nexus mission will also show up in the Mission Radar on your Corvette so you can do the mission without visiting Stu’s system

It will guide you to return to the nexus upon completion but you can still turn it in at the corvette mission radar, it just doesn’t seem to have the guidance appended on to it right now like the regular QS missions from the corvette radar do. I’m sure that will be gotten to down the line in a patch once the big ones are squashed.

This is nice. It is almost like we are being weened away from the Anomaly…

Turns out these multiplayer focused ships are also single player friendly with the QS missions. Nada and Polo must be feeling jilted, and I already feel bad from time to time with how little I visit them once the Story Quests are done.

High numbers again on steam and it’s still early Saturday, definitely breaking Mondays record and certainly passing 100,000 if not by 20:00 UTC tonight then definitely on Sunday :eyes:
