I’ve never come across one before. What do you get from it…
Can you farm it?

You don’t find them on every planet. Lush/Tropical planets seem best - the ones with paraffinium and star bulbs. And it only seems to be rocks of that particular shape.
But given all the above, shoot enough rocks, and eventually one will run away.
As for what you get from them, or whether you can farm them - I don’t know. I’ve never managed to catch one. Once they run, they really run.
I think it’s just a bit of fun.

Definitely a representative title for the game at launch but becoming less of an issue with each update 
Telemon was especially vocal at launch. Units recieved would be a more apt name for the game during the launch era haha.
Oh telamon, what stories you could tell if Atlas had not crippled you.

Being an on-foot explorer/gatherer, I’m finding it more true in Beyond than in any other update.

A developer glitch - %BIOME-PLANT%
The switch glitch (power connectors showing before my base rendered fully - the graphic card tweaking that HG have done is really causing serious issues on PC)

The %BIOME_PLANT% is a lookup variable, but either returns no value, does not exist, or something else is wrong

I currently work in Software Dev [about 15yrs of my work life/career] although no longer actively coding , but now as a PM/Scrum Master/Agile Coach etc
I posted another “Dev”/coding glitch a week or 2 ago, where on the Fauna upload page was showing :
"1 / %TOTAL-FAUNA% " - or something like that [ie one out of the Total Fauna count on that planet]
Oh and the base eventually recovers, its a rendering/in memory management issue

Ah ok, good to know it recovers and your base is actually still there in all its glory.
Too bad you now need a beast of a computer to get the full experience. I understand that lower spec hardware has its limitations, but the in-game representation is all wonky. I understand lower detail graphics, render distance, LOD changes and other reduced variables, but I really hope they can fix this management to be less of a mess.

About 18 months ago I was on a train from Berlin to Dresden, when one of the rear coaches caught fire.
If it had been a Deutsche Bahn train, I don’t suppose it would have happened - but it was a Czech train, with Czech crew. They stopped the train in a field somewhere, and put the fire out (it was in the brakes) with extinguishers, and what looked like the restaurant car coffee pot.
They started the train up again, and we continued out journey. Within 10 minutes, the fire had broken out again. This time, they just kept going - but faster. 45 minutes later, we pulled into Dresden, with all the passengers crammed into the front six carriages, and the four rear carriages full of smoke.
A guy on the train said that with that model of Czech train, if there is a fire in the brakes, they will eventually fail, either “on” or “off”. If the driver stopped the train, and the brakes failed “on”, it could be days before they could get the thing moving again, So they keep going, and hope.

I found where space whales come from. These babies rose up out of the water and then flew into space.

i’ve seen huge flying creatures come out of the ground and fly into space, very hard to get a scan on them.
