-I was playing on PS4 so I began to hear that NMS was a game for devs. For those who understand its inner workings. I wanted to understand. I waited patiently for updates on PS4 and began to slowly build a PC so I could join the update fun sooner.
+I watched others explore modded vistas and experience gameplay I’d never see on a PS4. Content creators, gaming articles and more touted their control and improvements to the vast universe I’d spent months in as I watched silently from the sidelines. I’d decided then, I’d join my fellow PC Travellers and figure out the inner workings of the simulation I loved. I would create as the Atlas does, shaping worlds with my limited input. Those initial days of wonder at the Modding and Datamining community inspired me to take charge and turn No Man’s Sky into my creative sandbox.

+Drogradur NO425 is a planet in the HUB-G-211 Lennon system. Sumario 1 Summary 2 Planet type 2.1 Atmosphere and climate 3 Waypoints 4 Notable locations 5 Life 5.1 Fauna 5.2 Flora 6 Sentinels 7 Resources 8 Speculation 9 Gallery Summary The former capital planet for the Galactic Hub, Drogradur NO425 (or just Drogadur for short) was once a lush/tropical planet with ~6m diplos, among other, more common fauna species. Terrain was mostly grassland, along with mountains, beaches, and shallow bodies of water. There were at least four habitable bases here, most of which were marked by Communications Stations (at least on PS4). After Atlas Rises altered the biome generation, Drogadur became a frozen world of pine forests and pink skies, with storms that would make the planet even colder than usual. Planet type Tropical Planet: -8.3 °C, 1.6 Rad/17.3 Tox Atmosphere and climate Comfortable and habitable. Can sit on planet’s surface and lose essentially no life support. Yellowish skies, usually very hazy.

+There absolutely was a moment where I felt I might be left behind. I am by no means a speed runner, and what drew me to no mans sky was the sheer expanse of discovery to be had. So when new features started to arrive, but I had yet to even leave my first system, I worried for what I might miss out on. But that’s the beauty of a game like NMS. You never feel rushed to unlocking the next milestone or researching the next construction module. You play in your own pace, taking all the time you want to enjoy each new discovery. I could see myself playing this for another 10 years and still not be “100%”. And I love that.

+As I stepped onto the barren world’s sandy shores, a sense of calm washed over me. I’d travelled a few hundred light-years out from my starting planet, and had recently (barely) survived an encounter with a Sentinel Walker. Seeing a planet devoid of life meant a lonely walk as I explored, but it also meant that I had time to kick back and relax without the fear of being ambushed by a predator and then attacked by a Sentinel for self-defence. I took a quick look at the ocean nearby and decided to take a short swim in the cyan, crystalline waters. I swam around for a while, exploring the shallow ocean floor, until a dreaded red icon popped up out of nowhere. I couldn’t see it immediately, but as soon as I turned around I was met with the gaze of one of the most terrifying underwater predators I’d ever seen. Low on boltcaster ammunition, I tried to swim away in fear of losing hours of progress, but the creature was relentless. As I eventually surfaced onto a patch of land, I was horrified to discover that I’d been marooned on a deserted island with little to no resources, and a very aggressive creature that didn’t stop its pursuit even after I’d found myself ashore. The predator’s odd, glitchy animations near land made it all the more terrifying, as its next steps felt uncertain. As I stared onto the u

+
+In the Age of Foundation, I wandered the vast, empty Euclid Galaxy. It was even emptier then. But, that winter, something changed in the simulation. I’ll never forget the memory of my first ‘home’ among the stars. It was a hut with 4 walls and a roof. But I could cozy up there, safe from the endless expanse of the cosmos. It stands firmly in my memory. I never would have guessed then that I would still be exploring the simulation I love so much 10 years later.

A pen and a pad is a good tool to have in any profession, be it for actual work or the doodles that happen when you day dream on a slow and quiet day…

+The draw to this world was such that even my own mom couldn’t resist. And she’s not a gamer. She had to experience it herself. “WOOOOWWWW” she exclaimed, the moment the boot screen loaded with an endless zoom through a vast star field, and the introduction of that unforgettable title: NO MAN’S SKY; Her and I enjoyed exploring simultaneously before multiplayer arrived. It was such a joy to watch her deep dive into this universe and truly experience everything as if she were really in space, discovering things for the first time.

+ I continue to wander on foot. I have left my broken starship behind, weeks ago now, as the pleasures of this paradise planet pull me towards the horizon. No predators. Endless ruins, but no people. The occasional storm but I am never far from shelter. Suddenly I reach the peak of the mountain and I am dumbstruck by a gigantic elevated platform. I’ve never seen a structure so large in all my days. Then, from out of nowhere, ships appear in the sky and start landing on the platform! 3, 4 ships at a time, all different, with pilots from an unknown race/species. What is this? Maybe I can buy a ship here?
