Someone found the bits missing from the centre. The key, perhaps?

Expedition Redux complete. Here’s some postcards…
Has something changed with image upload on the forum? I’ve noticed my images are being reduced to a resolution of around 680 pixels in width.
rambling about image size reduction
It might be because the images I’ve been uploading from PSN are in 2160 (I’d been playing at 1440 normally until recently for the full HDR spectrum but decided to sacrifice some colour for fidelity).
Assuming the image reduction is due to the file size of the images uploading but thought I’d ask to see if it was doing this to all images regardless of dimensions? It’s also applying a grid feature to multiple image uploads which is a cool feature I didn’t know we had
I know this site isn’t my personal storage ground but I do tend to lose the images on my phone and sometimes reclaim them from here
Nevermind, they seem fine now perhaps it’s just the initial image while it processes or something
Yeah, this site is kinda picky with images sometimes. I find I have to upload 1 or 2 at a time. Any more and it gets stuck.
Oof I hate when that happens. Which is fairly often '
I’ve come across the new planetside mission NPCs that have unique missions related to the planet biome, but I’ve never seen this before.
It’s just a standard interaction NPC like we’ve had since launch, but they were holding an item related to the flavour text.
They wouldn’t trust me to deliver it for them either
My standing was high enough luckily to request official Gek aid.
Guess it’s a gift for their Kriss Vy’Keendle for Grand Unification Day
This was on my Permadeath playthrough. Still hanging in there
Can of beer?
Some things I discovered about Permadeath I didn’t know about Permadeath.
You will only see other Permadeath players in the Nexus.
You cannot claim QS items you’ve already purchased in a previous save, like you can with others.
It’s like being in your own little club, so I now make it a habit to try and visit other Permadeath bases in the nexus.
This one in particular had a really relaxing interior and an appealing and warm wooden exterior
Some misc photos from today’s Permadeath travels
Still flying the Radiant Pillar but I couldn’t resist getting the Atlas Sceptre multi-staff from the expedition rewards pool.
Hey @Timsup2nothin ! Thanks for dropping by and sharing!
Back in the game yet again! I am embarrassed to admit that I scoffed when I saw “we added fishing!” Now I have the skiff, plus a balcony in between my refiners and my food processors where I wait them out by catching fish.
Gotta catch them all!
I didn’t just scoff. I threatened grave harm to Sean Murray. Then I thought “Well, maybe they won’t force me to use it…” - so of course, they did.
I usually groan when I have to do fishing mini games etc. Something about throwing a line in this game just hits different, good excuse to appreciate the lovely new water tech too.
Good to see you posting again and back in the sim, looks like Tim’s up 2 somethin
Looking forward to the aquarius expedition Redux, was fun sitting idle with other randos at the rendezvous points trying to catch fish and gifting lures.
@Polyphemus if we ever get stranded on a desert island due to some weird NMS fan meet up gone awry, I promise I’ll handle all the fishing if you do the cooking
I came across this today - and I haven’t noticed anything quite like it before. It walks and runs like a dog. It crouches and scratches itself like a dog. But it’s completely hollow, and appears to be made from roots, branches and leaves.
I saw those recently also, and had never seen them before. New in Worlds maybe? They are very cool. I have one on display in my wonder gizmo.
I recently ran across a discussion about NMS elsewhere on the internet, in which one person was proclaiming that limits on the number of base components make the game ‘unplayable.’ In their honor I built this extravagance.
It allows the pampered overseer to descend to the settlement level without having to crash through the thickets, but I certainly could manage without it if the ‘impossibly low’ base limits become a problem.
Cool find, they are new, I saw a mouse sized one on one of the expedition planets, with a flower face.
