Mordor
Jingle Bells
That’s what I love about this forum. No hesitancy to make cheesy comments.
Always ready to advance the understanding of science. Someone has to stand up against superstition and false information.
Everyone knows it is made of cheese. We just can’t agree what kind. Sheesh! We all know that’s why NASA wants to go back.
Processed cheese is a myth. They say it’s made from run-off of the genuine cheese production cycle with some sort of enzyme but we all know Cheese Singles were mined on the moon and that’s why NASA need to go back, it’s 65% of their funding.
That’s why traditionally, every cheese single is given it’s own plastic space suit, as a reminder of it’s origins. It’s actually through the above process mentioned by @Polyphemus that gives the processed cheese slices their iconic shape. It takes millenia for enough cheese to form a processed slice. They’re basically the fossil fuels of dairy,
It’s also one of the many mysteries of the cosmos… Why doesn’t the process make them spherical shaped Baby Bels?
We will never know but some believe it has something to do with CheeseString theory.
While all of this remains true, there are many falsity’s surrounding the moon being spread online (and not cheese spread). One of these is that people are convinced there are also Petits Filous in tubes, on the moon. Which is proposterous.
I apologize for all of the above and blame Poly and @sheralmyst for priming my day with cheese jokes.
Let’s just hope the moon is not made of Queso Fresco which easily crumbles and is so delicious on Mexican dishes. Everyone eats Mexican, right? Well, here in the US anyway.
The UK and Ireland went through this weird fast food Burrito Renaissance in the 2010’s. They started poppin up on every corner with queues around the block, overtaking starbucks in terms of location density.
We’ve always had international food places, but usually in restaurant form, we used to have a tex-mex restaurant but I think its gone now. We have a few but that one was very good.
My old house mate worked in a place called “From Mexico To Rome”. It was a pretty popular spot in Temple Bar but I think it shut its doors just before or during the lockdown.
It did a variety of international food but even my housemate admitted the ingredients sourced weren’t the greatest and some substitutes were made regularely.
No Taco Bell here
Taco Bell is NOT Mexican. Nothing beats authentic Mexican, which is actually not all that spicy unless you want it to be.
We Lunar habitants wants to make statement due to some false claims.
Moon is NOT made from cheese.
It is made from cosmic Sponge!
That’s why SpongeBob is our great representative (and mascot).
And we also want to express our concern about the excessive amount of OT on this very noble topic.
Cheese, and only cheese, has the power to make any thread go OT. It’s one of the many mysteries of dairy. Thanks for reigning it back in <3
16 years with my old monitor was enough. Just upgraded to a 32" curved Lenovo and now I can finally run the game in 1080 and higher.
My friends room mate had been playing his pc through a HDTV from 2006 with no raw throughput for a PC signal, just straight AV. They only got into pc gaming during lockdown and used the same TV they bought with their Xbox 360.
They also just upgraded to a 32" curved Lenovo. What a nice coincidence
How’s the game running for you at higher resolutions on PC? I can run at 4k with all settings crushed to minimum (except draw distances) and get 25 frames avg. I tend to just stick with 1080 or 1440 though.
I got a 32 inch Samsung 4k monitor this time two years ago during cyber Monday sale for 120 euro ;0; I think the lockdown had something to do with the massive reduction, a lot of unsold stock to shift
Currently that monitor is tied to my ps5 which I’d moved into my room when I was under the weather. I’ve yet to move it back.
So my nms pc experience has been at an odd resolution of 736p with my very old tiny pc monitor that uses RGB cable. While on this monitor I decided to just reduce settings to minimum and put dlss to ultra performance. The game still looks gorgeous
I wish I had screens to post lately instead of rambles, still not out of the woods yet with this recent health issue and find it hard to relax with games, mostly building in enshrouded while friends go do the action stuff. Will return in gusto with screenshots once I’m back in the Mercury Process.
Happy new monitor day
Oh, I have tried making art with decals and always fail miserably
Running same as before. Smoothly. I could run 4K but then I have the same issue as I did with the old one…icons too small for my tired eyes. This one is big enough to be comfortable at 1080.
I’m not 100% but I believe in the accessibility options you can increase gui size so it is closer to what you get with 1080.
This has more to do with the settings in my monitor than in the game. I have adjusted both to 1080. Been using 720 for long enough. I run Linux OS and I was unable to increase UI settings on my monitor that do not fit with the resolution or if I tried, I got unacceptable results.
Anyway, I am happy now and can see. I was a little unconvinced about the curved monitors but once you reach 30", I now recommend it. It is easier on the peripherals
Leaping the Flames
Great pictures & great descriptions attached - i love them both!
Never really noticed before that the volcanic planets actually look as if they are covered in volcanic material.
