Possibly, the mouse click screenshots don’t have the lower left-hand corner screenshot because it is being cropped out. It kills the composition.

Good observation. You may have found the reason for cropping. Impossible for me to get a good shot with cropping going on. I end up having to pull the camera back and retake and retake…I just roll with the address showing.

I am personally not seeing any cropping. Both photo mode screenshot (mouse click) and F12, produce the same image, besides the location stuff.

What I am trying to say is that the location info is likely not the cause of the cropped screenshots. I have seen reports from others with the same issue when we first had the Steam experimental Vulkan updates to test. The issue has been present since before Beyond. Might be a driver specific issue, might be something HG can fix … not sure.

I will add that both the mouse and A button not only crop, but have a noticeable lag from button press to the click sound

Found a “Vile Anomoly.” I had to check it out!
And during the day…
I started a base on one of the islands. I burried the electrical cords & ran them underwater from an island…need to check to see if they stayed burried.

Hmm, I wonder if it has something to do with what resolution folks experiencing the issue are playing at etc and that getting lost in translation somewhere when the game snaps the photo.

Stepped through the resolution issue. @DevilinPixy does play at a higher res because of a 4k monitor. I am using standard HD 1080. Still does not explain the issue however, I am on Experimental and the issue began with the Vulkan branch introduction. Remember HG is not only working out bugs but also now working in Vulkan. My hat is off to them. It can’t be easy to catch every glitch.

It was not mentioned in any patch notes so I don’t know what changed but my cropping issue is now gone.

Not sure I am real comfortable with the Nexus being so close to my base…
So this is odd. I spent a little time building and look up and notice the Nexus is now far away…almost straight above and a little to the right of the roof peak. Very faint.
I waited until night and suddenly, there it was again. Apparently the Nexus can not be seen during the day…

Interesting because there are some issues with finding the Space Station. It seems to move…but that may just be all the updates messing with my ships on board systems.
