Does anyone know what this thing is? I haven’t had a chance to play very much this year (not much last year either) so things like this are new to me. I found some screenshots from a couple of months ago.

It’s a Cable Pod; typically found in large numbers on specific exotic planets but also occasionally found in oceans on regular worlds.
A small collectable version of these can be found on the exotic worlds and used to decorate your base.

The only way to collect QS outside of the Anomaly / Nexus missions, although a random chance.

I have a challenge for anyone in the Rerasmutul Galaxy. I am in the Iahaow System on planet Dajj Sigma. There is one Rare Underwater and one Rare Underground critter. I have searched all I care to and cannot find them.
Here are the coords.
Here is an unusual land formation and unusual landscape from the planet.
This is an Undiscovered System so come prepared. It has some heat storms but not too bad or too often. No sentinels.

UPDATE I found the last 2 critters.
After searching in the deepest caves, I found the rare underground critter in the tiniest of caves. 
And the elusive underwater critter came in a pair.
