Screenshots v2.0

It appears that the hex string you get is more or less random and never truly translates to an existing address it seems. Might be an address of the past, no longer existent (lore).

A couple non-living-ship ones…

The local starshine and nearby planet rings along with lower “gas/nebula” color made this photo better than many of mine…

I liked the heavy shadow here but with crystals illuminated…

Why is that so? (Honestly curious, I know pretty much zero about how portals work).

If we assume these to be Galactic Coordinates, then this would then be 4 sets of hexadecimal:
0001:8400:F343:6503
Galactic coordinates do however have restricted ranges for each set as follows:
0001:0001:0001:0001 to 0FFF:00FF:0FFF:02FF

For that reason, the second set of hex, can not possibly start with an 8 or even 84.

The first 3 sets are the region coordinates in the galaxy, where the last 4th set represents the system within that region.

Did my base show? I am in experimental and currently out of sync with others. So I am staying away until we are all synced up again.

I’m in solo mode (always). Found the stairs going down. Progressed further. Found a walkway (with one large rock in the way) leading to your base. Pictures available on demand.

A rock in the way? Interesting…should not be a large rock there.

Coming.

And going.

Ok. The ones on the way in should be there but the one on the walkway must have regrown. Though I do not recall it being there in the first place. Perhaps I just didn’t realize it was there when I placed the path.
Aren’t the triangular path pieces rough? They throw my avatar around as I walk over them.
Hmmmm….not there for me. Interesting.

Interesting. Every experience procedural.

I eliminated the large rocks and attempted to duplicate your views but could not. This is a close as I could get.

The triangular pieces didn’t bother me but I’m tall and the low ceiling over that area did.

How is it that I’ve never come across this cooking plant before? Is it new or I’ve missed it in almost 800 hours of play. Aloe plant.

You just missed it. I rarely see them myself.

The most “science fiction book cover” view I’ve had for a long time.

For those who are interested, the object was labelled as an “emergency containment”. When I shot it to bits, it gave me a handful of hypnotic sproutlings.

I was taking the ship to the space station to be scrapped. You don’t think I normally drive something like this, do you? :grinning:

Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned

From “the second coming” by yeats. It popped up in my mind as soon as I read the words in that text box…

Best space wreckage yet. The large lower piece and the smaller bits around it, were rotating. Very nice. Tried to get a good pic inside the rotating bit but it had huge collision.

Seems to be my lucky day.
