Yes, it appears you can do these new mission parts anywhere. It just looks for an appropriate system to match the requirements. I bet you these can even be done in a different galaxy.

You can even relocate the mission. Which is pretty good, considering you can’t warp from a system you portaled to (unless you build a base and then return to that via Terminus).
So basically I had to do the mission from my base in Euclid (since my nominal position is somewhere in Budulangr at the moment), and let’s just say I’d be busy for a couple weeks if I had to make it to the initially generated target system purely on warp drive. But for such cases, you can relocate the target system, so all it took was a 530 year jump. The planet in my case was a “deathly green anomaly”, a description I had never seen before, so that’s cool.

Love this! looks like its either terraforming or about to destroy the planet.
Too bad I missed the start of the update due to a 3 hour visit to the eye surgeon. Ah well, maybe tomorrow.

I hope your visit went well. Some really nice visuals in this update and the expanded photo range. I visit the eye doc tomorrow.
