Well if ya want to know what the future of NMS in Beyond then you will have to come to the following planet.
As you can see the weather is from Winds from Beyond.
Depends on the poet. And what they’re writing poems about. Have you ever read any Wilfred Owen?
Wilfred Owen served as a soldier during the first world war. He witnessed the some of the worst horrors anybody could imagine.
In one of his most famous poems, “Dulce et Decorum Est” he describes men in the trenches being subjected to a poison gas attack. The men who had gas masks, and who managed to put them on in time. And the men who didn’t.
It goes:
Gas! Gas! Quick, boys! – An ecstasy of fumbling,
Fitting the clumsy helmets just in time;
But someone still was yelling out and stumbling,
And flound’ring like a man in fire or lime . . .
Dim, through the misty panes and thick green light,
As under a green sea, I saw him drowning.
In all my dreams, before my helpless sight,
He plunges at me, guttering, choking, drowning.
If in some smothering dreams you too could pace
Behind the wagon that we flung him in,
And watch the white eyes writhing in his face,
His hanging face, like a devil’s sick of sin;
If you could hear, at every jolt, the blood
Come gargling from the froth-corrupted lungs,
Obscene as cancer, bitter as the cud,
Of vile, incurable sores on innocent tongues.
It’s not nice. It’s horrific. But it’s poetry.
It looks like 3xperimental has more nuanced shadings throughout, from space stations to starships. I’m not sure I’m a fan. I kind of liked the older early era SciFi look and not one more “realistic.” Personal preference.
Have you ever read any Johnnycloud? The shameless Haiku poet, not worthy of the mud on Wilfred Owen’s boot…
…any opportunity to plug the Haiku thread. More silly poetry please everyone
You might like this @Polyphemus or anyone else for that matter. I was lucky enough to spend time at one of the events during Pages of the Sea last November. I loved the poster poem ‘Wound in Time’ by Carol Ann Duffy, that she wrote for the WW1 Remembrance. The website since that day is now full of photos and things that took place and worth a look. There’s even a short video of her reading her poem.
If you want a blue squid ship our very own ETARCIA capital system has them.
I originally got my blue one in Creative mode there whilst visiting planet Mr Noodles ECSD.
It was during a long return visit this happened lol - Portal 201A009B8D1E
