PSA: Swarm Debris Mission Progress Resets to 0 when switching away from Terrain Manipulator

I did not have this problem in previous days when doing this mission type, but today it happened twice in a row on the same mission, possibly related to having MP turned on but not exactly sure on that particular.

If you noticed, when doing the Swarm Debris mission, the visor tracker ability does not engage until you switch to Terrain Manipulator.

However, once you switch to your terrain manipulator, I strongly advise you do not switch to any other multi tool mode.

Doing so, reset my mission progress to 0 once I did this and switched back to terrain manipulator.

Both times, I was on 3/4, then switched to kill an aggressive animal poking my buns during hell storms.

Both times it reset my mission progress to 0.

I submitted a bug report. Just now realized it did not go thru. The reason is because zendesk now emails you and wants a verification check to make sure you are the owner of the email address

Yeah this has happened to me several times now. I was actually not in multiplayer. You do have to switch to the terrain manipulator and pay attention to the pop up info to confirm you are pursuing the mission.

Also I think I determined that possibly there may be another similar ‘error’ that occurs when the ‘clock’ resets on the particular swarm mission in progress and then starts again. There is no warning the deadline is about to pass, that pops up on screen which would be useful, that I have seen, to remind a player the mission is about to run out of time except by checking at the Anomaly itself, when deciding which mission to do. So basically if you continue with the same mission at the point the timer runs out, you end up with another 7 hours or so to complete it, but it feels like you have been robbed as the counter resets and without realising, end up effectively doing it twice, back to back.
