I’ve been wondering about the memory ratings.

The first memory I submitted for jan 5th, was how it was a bad day full of a lot of bad news, and I wish I had something better to share with System. I rated the memory 1 out of 5. Like you would a bad meal or experience.

It caused the percentage to go up if I’m not mistaken.

I think if we are honest about our ratings, that it makes the memory fragment valid.

If we spam 1’s or 5’s regardless of memory fragment content, I think it will make the percentage go down.

It also has a strong affinity to stuff related to tech, be it no mans sky or the underlying components that allow us to manifest and interact with digital mediums.

^^^ hope train member lol

As an official acknowledgment of LNF in the ARG, it fits well into the theory that the overall narrative is about more then NMS. I feel like if this was specifically about this being the 10year anniversary, then aside from a couple of vague touches on the LNF theme, we wouldn’t have gotten a cannon tie in to the ARG.

Oh my that’s absolutely LNF, what if this is all LNF related lol

A post was merged into an existing topic: June 15th, 2016 - Memory Bloc Live Integration

Discussion below:

So, Ive been thinking about this a bit with how the live integrated memory blocs have been playing out.

They seem to have a hardcore fans understanding of the game and its development, of waking titan, of 65dos and even their back catalogue (This Band is Unstoppable!)

It really does feel like a mega fan is behind this.

Moreso than an officially hired ARG company who may just be stepping into this world of ours for the first time as a job with a brief.

But then I was thinking… of a new third possibility.

What if, Hello Games did in fact officially hire… a mega fan? Or what if a mega fan approached HG with the pitch first?

Both possibilities, are possible.

We have Kanajus artwork on space station billboards for example…

So it would not be the first time this has happened.

Yes. I found a new way to sit on the fence. Check mate, everybody :joy:

On one hand, Hello Games did not contact a single civilization leader before putting their logos into the game… I’d be pretty surprised if they directly hired a fan to run an ARG. I’ve always viewed HG as basically being the gods of the simulation: the creators, their will and intent unknowable, to be guessed at and pleaded for by the inhabitants of their realm.

But I think they have sometimes worked more closely with YouTubers? I’m not very involved with Youtube NMS so I could be mistaken, but I want to say they did something with Captain Steve. So it cooooould be

This did occur to me, that the level of depth & linking of details feels far more ‘fanaticle’ than the previous ARGs

My inclination is that this is definately informed by a dedicated data base with an extremely high likelyhood of a being fed from a fan perspective.
However…
I also feel that this ARG is very deep, tight & organised so is very likely the work of a crew, not an individual & therefore could represent the efforts of a team, be it officially hired or a dedicated voluntary effort.

The reality glitch by @Rinha has been around for a while.

I would say it is not out of the realms of possibility that them using the dragon skull to lock in the LNF announcement date memory earlier, inspired them to finally choose Rinha’s image for selection

Either way, from my perspective, this is precisely how it went down

Rhina’s made me think of a giant sandworm flying over a cow-filled planet. Too bad the cow isn’t flying, or upright with boxing gloves on.
