Think about it. Skyscrapers are normally found in cities, but in NMS, there are no cities due to the sentinels and the Atlas destroying them. So, it wouldn’t make sense for a skyscraper to be a part of it. Additionally, Project Skyscraper’s tagline is Sky Is Not The Limit. In NMS, Hello Games have been testing all these new technologies, pushing the engine to its limits for LNF testing. These extraordinary technologies fit well with the expanding beyond what is possible tag of the ARG. This makes it fit even better.
However, there are some flaws:
The ARG seems to be some sort of computer, which the Atlas is
I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s an actual link between the two games directly, the strange red goblet/hand in Light No Fire reminds me greatly of the Atlas as is. I’ve been of the mind that LNF is effectively a NMS2 situation, or like a partition universe of the Atlas, maybe. I would not be surprised at least if this is backporting more LNF features into NMS to coincide with more news on LNF when it’s ready to go. For now, though, all lore points pretty firmly at NMS.
Ran some scans on the first 2000 ids on the site via the Wordpress API. I noticed that most IDs on the pages endpoint would return Invalid post ID., but some were returning Sorry, you are not allowed to do that.
The latter also are marked with the tag rest_forbidden, which from what I understand refers to any page that has not been published, but has been created (doesn’t necessarily need to have any content, just created at some point in time)
That said, we currently have 34 pages, and the scan returned 385 IDs of pages that are unpublished.
We also have 6 published posts (the full page Security Logs, etc.), and 11 IDs were marked as unpublished.
To me this feels like this might be a lot more thought out and planned than I originally thought, and that number is also pretty close to 365…
Feels like the filtering system’s gonna come back online and realize we all connected, or the system’s gonna manually disable the filter once it sees all our connections?
If theyre in france as is hypothesised, it may have been the roll over to the anniversary of Waking Titan that started the reboot, as its now 28th of may there.
If you open the site on a mobile (trying chrome on a Samsung device) and scroll down or up slightly, the nodes refresh and move a little faster.
If you do that several times…it gets freaky as hell ahaha.
unfortunately I had hoped that with more energy there was an increase in a chance you can get all the nodes to glow. But no, the oscillating points seem fixed.
Im also noticing that the node layout is only ever one of a set number of layouts. I have counted a few distinct ones that helped me spot it. Perhaps when fully overloaded they make some form of clue as well?
