Desert Planet with a Blasted Atmosphere. Odd mixture of color and gray scale. Lots of hopping shrooms.
It is a nice photo, but showing a proper sense of scale can be tough at times. That looks more like a close up of a hopper plant. On one planet I found a 5 meter tall ‘teddy bear’ walking around and ended up buzzing close with my ship and then taking photos to show how big he actually way.
yeah, I understand that but, there are cactus bushes beside it and my ship is so tiny even pebbles look huge beside it. ![]()
The game does strange things to perspective. Looked at through the ship’s cockpit, this asteroid doesn’t look like anything much:
However, if you switch to camera mode, and pull back a little, you realise the thing’s the size of an office block.
Yes, scale is a difficult thing to capture in NMS. On one planet I may feel 6 feet tall and on the next I can barely see thru the grass. If only we could see our Avatars, that would really help the situation.
Back from a winter planet I found this beautiful Leonopteryx couple
on a fantastic canyon planet.
This game knows how to please… ![]()
