Is it because our stance on supporting Ukraine has placed us right in Russia’s crosshairs?
No.
Is it because our Prime Minister has been forced to resign, having been proven to be a liar and a lawbreaker?
No.
Is it because Covid infection rates are once again approaching the levels seen at the height of the pandemic?
No.
Is it because prices are rising at an unprecedented rate, and families in full-time employment are having to rely on charity to pay their bills?
No.
Is it because, after years of chronic under-investment, our health service is close to collapse?
No.
So what could it be? What could be worse than all the things already mentioned?
