Living Ships

We could study that like real explorers. Take pictures…

  • in each biomes - at sunset, sunrise, noon, midnight.
  • in a space station / in the anomaly / in space under differently coloured suns / on the inventory screen.
And each of us makes a collage and we compare them here.

Aww those ships are really worth the time searching!
So the colors are switching between yellow and red? Waw

Since this could lead to a whole new area of research on Living Ships, I am going to move us to that category.
Carry on!

I didn’t put any effort into cropping, this is roughly what I meant.

My living ship’s colour is always just a reflection of the sky.
Sunrise and sunset were quite similar to each other. Noon usually had the planet’s main colour, and night was always the same dark blue.

Do other people’s living ships have a fixed colour…?

I noticed this as well. After you see a different color from the planet, try flying to the anomaly or a space station. and check the color. You may see what I was trying to describe.

Ah okay, I’ll try combinations with the Anomaly next. I’ll also try different landing spots.

By the way, you can get the different planetary colours quickly by moving the sun in photomode (horizon, vertically up, opposite horizon, vertically down). I wonder what happens if I move the (not visible) sun in the Anomaly…

PS: I tested it and when you press F in photomode on the Anomaly, you don’t actually see the sun, but the living ships parked around me changed colours between darker and lighter variants. So if you take screenshots in photomode, the current daylight (or your last changed sun position) has an impact on the colour displayed.
