If someone had fed the puzzle into an AI, and presented the results as āproblem solvedā, I would tend to agree with you. AI is not good at ARG puzzles, and false results can further confuse an already complex picture.
AI can, however, play a role. We might not have identified Le Forgeron without it. It can be useful in identifying areas for investigation, but it canāt be trusted to provide answers.
We do try not to be too rigid here. Provided the topic doesnāt descend into total chaos, the odd joke or conversational aside is acceptable.
On the flip side, it translated a section of the letter as ā3 long sausagesā and the next time as āyour sweet lipsā both of which I knew were wrong even with limited French.
