The info states it lives in the grasslands. The Discovery menu stated I was looking for an underwater creature. In the past, I have seen these critters walk along the bottom of the ocean and then out onto shore. Now, they will appear as a red dot when I am above the water but disappear as I submerge. I caught this one as it was headed for shore. Took a number of attempts. As it approached the shore, it simply vanished.
They’ve become real glitchy since beyond arrived. They will disappear as soon as you look at them, sometimes getting dragged under the ground suddenly while underwater or getting pulled away from the water and dragged to land and sent over the horizon quite rapidly.
I’ve found the trick is to just swim around where they spawn, usually the second one that appears will be void of the issue. If you do see red dots from land that disappear when you land in the sea, try pinpoint where it was and swim there anyway, seems to still spawn something eventually.
These are indeed the crabs that spawn in see but scurry on to land. Seems their behaviours gone a bit bonkers and beyond.
It was a blast being a part of the pack. My first time riding a predatorial creator. What I like about riding these creatures is that when your one with the pack you don’t get harmed.
The down side though is that it can be hard to maneuver due to them being in a pack. They seem to respect each other… or specific members.
They were tameable though and fun to mount and ride around once we got to know each other a little bit aftee I had earned their respect by clawing my way out of a misguided dung pile.
The discussion started a few posts after the below linked reply, where you were all talking about the 3 different variants of Abyssal Horror (anglerfish, jellyfish, stationary version). Only two of those variants can be scanned.
Damn, I never realised! Or would have thought. They don’t seem very horrible. If they were faster, and did damage more than once, that would be another story…
