Oh gosh, I just realized. Are these travellers that have undergone carcinization due to drinking the water?

I just assumed they had found oversized anomaly helmets, somewhere, but it makes more sense that their exosuit morphed to fit their new bodies.

Well i was more referencing the idea the Travellers drank the water and died and the crabs do what hermit crabs do and found the helmet and used it as a home…but now I am really creeped out.
