We already have in-game elixirs (of glass, water, blood and Quicksilver).
Some cooking recipes offer core health restauration (NB not life support), up to 50%!
And with automatic ingestor technology, one could achieve invincibility…
Base of these recipes is sirupy nectar from floral companion (flower headed animal).
Ambrosial wonder or Creamy clouds of nectar can be cooked from automatically harvested ingredients.
Plan is to build a farm, to refine frost plants into glass grains into refined flour, and have 3 animal harvested food sources on the same planet :
egg
milk
sirupy nectar
Since some of you will discover their own newly attributed prime system, would you kindly report any planet having animals producing egg, milk, and sirupy nectar ?
As a side-quest, of course.

Sorry to report inconsistencies between effects reported by community, effects in game while consuming edible product (press x to consume) and effects when auto-ingestor is used…

I consistently forget about the nutrient investor. Most of my useful ingredients go towards Cronus’s shopping list when I remember, and I’m always low on milk and eggs, and often whichever berry I need.
Am I doing something wrong? I let my life drain and I see no affect at all no matter which way I use to eat the Ambrosial Wonder. I mean, it should at least be full of calories…nothing. Wish I could pull that off in real life.
I forgot about this. I seem to remember the it didn’t work directly. Something similar to adding bait to the fishing pole and then turning it on like it was a refiner. It would increase the effects of different things depending on what you ate. I’ll have to check out how to use it when I have time (maybe this evening). One of my favorite meals would increase the yield of scanning fauna by (IIRC) 6000%. I could buy a ship with one rare creature. Other meals would increase jet pack duration. etc.
Happy to confirm that Hybrid Cake can be consumed and offers 50% health restoration!
Sadly, when used in the nutrient ingestor, effect is completely different…
