Hey everyone I think I know what concert they attended, or rather what event.
I see that Polyphemus briefly mentioned it and I stumbled upon it during my poster research as well.
“The 11th edition of the renowned Nuits sonores electronic and independent music festival took place in Lyon, France, from May 7 to May 12, 2013. It featured a massive lineup of house, techno, and experimental artists across various industrial and cultural venues in the city”
I actually stumbled upon the festival when looking into French DJ posters, and then DJ Posters Lyon City.
The Anciennes Usines Brossette is a former industrial warehouse located in the Gerland district (34 rue Crépet, 69007 Lyon). The space is best known for being a temporary, alternative cultural venue, frequently used to host concerts and electronic music events for the Nuits Sonores Festival.

The Ancien Marché de Gros (literally the “Old Wholesale Market”), historically known as the Marché Gare, was the central industrial wholesale food hub that supplied the city of Lyon and the surrounding region for nearly 50 years.
As you noted, I had already considered Nuits Sonores. I didn’t pursue it because I couldn’t find any obvious link between it and “There is a DJ in your Town” - no band, no song, no flyer. Also, whilst Nuits Sonores was the largest music event in Lyon in 2013, it was far from the only one.
It remains, in my mind, a possibility - but to be convinced, I would need more evidence.
We know that @the_architect and Ghost attended a concert in Lyon in 2013. We know that Ghost gave @the_architect a flyer saying “There is a DJ in your Town”.
There were dozens of concerts in Lyon in 2013. Nuits Sonores was a two-day festival hosted at a number of sites, and also involved dozens of concerts. I have no idea how many DJs played in Lyon in 2013, or how many fliers they handed out.
Without more information, the search is quite a task.
I am really thinking @devilinpixy was right and that the page DJ Shadow - ’Endtroducing.....’ - by T.Q. Kelley Was the correct path for what the last email was sending us to. The recipient of the email is “ghost” and the page is Ghost Deep. Have we tried listening to the Emily soundbite backwards? Also there is reference to a 4x4 MPC60 that has 16 buttons and i think MPC60 could be a clue. The first few paragraphs are eerie when it comes to the subjects at hand.
This reminds me of a running joke we have here. I have a collection of old radios. They only pick up AM. If I can manage to find an AM station, it is usually playing old music. Like 40s. So the joke is that older radios pick up music from the past.

I did find the poster used for the grand opening of the rooftop venue ‘Le Sucre’ from back in June 28th, 2013. It has a line-up that includes Laurent Garnier (shareholder), who also helped with the sound design . Nothing really stands out to me though, other than being the ‘birth’ of one of the main venues in Lyon, which is perhaps how we should interpret ‘Hello World’?
