Hey lads,
Ik have a problem: I can’t progress ‘Expanding the base’ because I can’t find an armorer.
The quest is highlighted and there are no icons visible on the galaxy map.
I’ve been to about 10 vykeen systems and talked to every ugly frack in the stations and there was no armorer.
I’m at a loss. How can I fix this obvious bug?

I had a bit of an issue with this as well. He did eventually show up. You did remember to place out the Armorer’s workstation first? I am sure you did. 
Not sure what held up my mission. It did finally work though. Sorry I can’t be more helpful.
EDIT: Make sure to work on any other Expanding the Base missions as well. Sometimes doing what the Scientist wants will trigger what the Overseer wants next kind of thing.

So are you still stuck on this mission?
Hey, have you build the specialist terminal for the armourer yet? Technically you don’t have to first but give it a shot if you haven’t already, could rejig something to happen.
Another quick fix is go through a blackhole with the mission active (polo can help you find one on the nexus) and then it will either point you to a Vy’keen armourer in a nearby system or you’ll get a red warp icon on the mission saying the armourer is impossibly far away and let you reset the mission. You can then go back home and reset the mission again if you’d prefer to find one closer to your home systems.
They’re not always necessarily in Vy’keen systems either, you can stumble across them on any old station, I found mine in a korvax system on my new playthrough, he was in the room beside the upgrade module sellers, chillin with a Gek.
With the mission highlighted in the Log, check a terminus on a space station to see if a target shows in any particular system.
Also, check the galaxy map.
Figured this out! You won’t get any icon or directions for this one. I found a random guy at a Vy’keen space station named Enemy Slayer or something like that. I think the name matters when it comes to conversation and probably this mission, so maybe look for someone with a warrior type name. Anyway, I talked to him and it prompted the quest dialogue, and now he’s at my base. Hope this helps, this is an old thread lol.
The name and rank are irrelevant. He will however be located in the back room bar thingy to the left-hand side of the space station (when facing the “back wall”).

We generally refrain from posting in archived topics to keep discussion up-to-date. You can check the coloured ‘category’ of each topic to see where it belongs. If anyone is having trouble finding the base armorer still (I know I did) you have to select the “Weapons Research” quest instead of Expanding the Base. It’s quite simple but I had a lot of trouble until I noticed the Weapons Research quest even existed.
Selecting the Weapons Research quest pointed me to the correct person to talk to.

Go to your galaxy map, zoom out and look around there will be a little gun symbol. That is where the armorer is. Took me a while to figure out. Cheers and have fun!!
