Moons in rings are not actually that uncommon, but they would leave a gap in the ring, and if they were that big in relation to the ring they’d probably clear it entirely.
Stations wouldn’t be too bad, if the rings wouldn’t be visible inside.
The intersection is easily enough to detect mathematically, so you could change the system so that this stuff is generated differently. However, messing with the order things are generated in in a procedural system may well lead to another reset, or at least meay lead to all those moons just vanishing from existence (an option less feasible for space stations, I think).
Yes, that’s what I meant. I’m not saying this shouldn’t be considered a bug since there is obviously zero dedicated handling for their visuals. Just saying that moons inside rings do actually exist.
