When it started, I was not the host. After we left the Nexus, the host left the group and it got handed to me.
I was doing a mission from the NEXUS and someone joined, we had to feed creatures.
I thought their squid was cool and took a few pics.
Really moody/atmospheric. Nice green
Interesting island . Perfectly flat and nothing spawns on it. Some interference from the monolith - a small price to pay. No green grass but at least the water is blue. The weather is ‘Beautiful’ - no rain, no cold, no heat, no storms. Nothing that drains resources. Fauna is limited to living mushrooms and associated friends. No predators . Sentinels are sparse, as in: I haven’t seen any yet.
This is the area i am clearing. A glitch in the game is not allowing me to continue to harvest
the tree, There isn’t any thing left in the area as you can see.
So far no sentinels have shown up.
The only way to remove the trees is using the terrain manipulator.
Update: reload/restart game allowed me to harvest trees
Yeah, I noticed that objects above a certain scale cannot be mined or scanned and are considered parts of the terrain instead. It’s probably got something to do with render optimisation (i.e. I think it’s not a glitch, but that they are conciously generated in the same pass as the terrain and lose their identity as individual objects, instead just becoming part of the terrain mesh). That’s just a guess, though.
I have noticed the same problem with scanning (particularly large trees with bole shaped trunks)and until yesterday I just shrugged it off as “ok that’s gonna bug me but it is a bug”.
But yesterday I noticed the un-scannable tree had a slightly different colour nearer the top, so I aimed up there and voila!, it let me scan it.
lol, ya well trying to clear the land of everything is bugging me out!!! lol
Why all the destruction, anyways? Are you roleplaying as Space-Bolsonaro?
You have my deepest sympathy.
It all grows back again anyway.
just having fun!!!
Update: been 2 days now and no respawn of trees etc
