Articuno?? Bad time to be low on pokeballs
There is the Guide to fall back on under the options screen that gives brief descriptions of things. That may help jog memories or reveal which planet to land on to find things. I often forget where to find things. You can also buy stuff from landing pilots too. The aliens at outposts and shelters can now have have things to buy too in addition to the kiosk. I found one selling very useful items.
The crafting thread has helpful hints too.
Then there is the refiner that can make stuff. If you have the home base refiner going that doesn’t need refuelling. With the addition of your freighter fleet, they can return from missions with items for you too. Use the scanner of course to look for things. Caves reveal cobalt among other things we all forget from the early beginnings. Plants like old thamium 9 are now oxygen.
Plunder player farms. Attack freighter cargoes. Look at underwater plants. Atlas 3 rooms. The little red boxes (old plutonium boxes) can also drop different things. You can destroy tech from found crashed ships. Even destroy nanite bought upgrades for stuff. Loot crashed ships and storage crates.
Lastly I think we can exchange items with one another in multi-player but I have never tried that yet. I am having trouble ‘finding’ other players LOL. The very first one I met killed me. I am currently arranging a cosmic bounty… Maybe @sheralmyst I could persuade you to become a hired space pirate for your price… Muhahhahaa.
PS Sorry to hear of your accident. Glad you’re okay. Hope it all gets resolved sooner than later for your peace of mind. At least you have a super distraction with this game!
To give you hope here’s me searching for Cobalt… Peering into a deep pit of an abyss wondering whether to descend during a storm. There was a nasty beasty at the bottom, you do NOT want to meet. An extreme planet. I got what I needed and was gone phew!
My kids named it: “Whaty” for my daughter OR “Monstre de la Mort” -(Death Monster in french), from my son
Had a huge fight yesterday !! These creatures are overpowered !!
You know, I keep wondering who pays that much money for those larvae, and why. Is there an NMS-equivalent of Weyland-Yutani somewhere?
Wouldn’t THAT be cool?
edit: btw, I had to go wiki that one. Never saw the movie. lol
Cool use of planetary rings as a total width photo backdrop. Nice shot, traveler!
Oooo. I love this “Skimming the Rings” photo. Unusual and high impact. Great photo. Also … great use of the “Rule of Thirds” composition in terms of rings “horizon.”
That reminds me of Dali’s famous painting The Persistence of Memory.
Super silhouette!
Any concussion after effects? When we got rear-ended a couple years ago, my wife got concussion bad enough that we sought out an emergency room a day or two after it – really bad headaches, nausea, etc.
Photo of the Month Challenge
All …
My main interest in No Man’s Sky is exploring and xenophotography. I have outlined and plan to eventually produce a “Guide to Xenophotography in No Man’s Sky.” For now, though I am considering starting a monthly (weekly maybe too short?) photo challenge. I’d set a type of photo (maybe based on composition, background, use of bokeh, use of the torch at night to emphasize a subject, etc.) and folks would upload their photos. Total likes would show which were deemed best, but all would be great to see. The photos could even spark ideas in others about photo composition or techniques.
Thoughts?
I’m assuming this would be a new thread I’d start.
Would there be a way to “cut off” (or delete) submissions that arrived after a date? (That’s the only way to have a decent “challenge” period). I’m not familiar with the options.
For those who haven’t heard this term before, pretty cool word:
Thank you, that’s high praise.
Not really a way to delete. You would have to specify the date and state that all late-comers will not qualify. You can create a poll and pull the contestants pics into that…I have never done a poll.
Here is the pictures I took last night! Hope you enjoy them as much I enjoyed taking them!!
Have a nice Sunday!!
Anomaly came to where I was… in the middle of the meteorite!
A bit of everything on this one!
Amazing Crystals! I love so much mining them! (Even if you get less now on Next…
Knoledge Stones, and a Predator looking to attack me !!
Monolith standing on a little island, very peaceful place!
