Minecraft development build says support elderly relatives: ![]()

It is fascinating just how quick nature floods back in to the regions so heavily used by mankind as soon as things go quiet. Millions of years of naturally balanced ecosystems & environments immediately pendulum back as soon as there is the opportunity.
Iâve always been intrigued by this:
Old abandoned cars become homes for critters. Plants take root in any crevice they can. It doesnât take long for an old farmhouse (or an industrial estate) to become its own piece in the larger ecosystem surrounding it.
Maybe in all this heartache and stress humanity as a whole might learn something about how we treat our world and how we might do better if we include nature as part of our existence rather always trying to hold it at arms-length or crushing it under our collective heel.
Sacramento Bee: Up to 20% of younger adults infected with coronavirus end up hospitalized, CDC says.
New York Post : Japanese flu drug âclearly effectiveâ in treating coronavirus, officials say.
Meanwhile here in South Africa we are seeing the exponential increase in known/reported/diagnosed cases - yesterday was at 116 confirmed infected people, and with a 34 person increase in 24hrs to todayâs total of 150.
Although compared to other countries the number of known cases is lower, the exponential curve/spike trend is evident.
Our government has declared certain measures mainly around social distancing, public gatherings and encouraging business to facilitate and accelerate work from home and self isolation, but nowhere near as severe/strict as in Europe.
My employer has had to scramble this week to implement certain infrastructure and process to facilitate work from home. we should be running this from next week. meanwhile trying not to get too âhighâ from all the hand sanitiser alcohol fumes ![]()

Also, thereâs a Malaria treatment that seems to be effective:
What is not clear yet I guess is how resistant patients treated this way are to re-infection. The problem with a cure is that it isnât a vaccine, but if they can use it to keep the death toll low, thatâs a huge win.
It just received FDA approval. Coupled with azithromycin in cases of respiratory infection, it has been very effective in early studies in France. And it is a drug that has been around so it is relatively safe.

Netflix has announced that it is reducing its bit rate, to free up bandwidth, because of the increased number of people working from home.
However, here in the UK, the main cable and land line provider, BT, says there is no problem - their system has more than enough spare capacity.
Must be nice. So many in US are like me and rely on cellular internet so the move is appreciated. DishTV bought up a lot of bandwidth and have done nothing with it so they are âloaningâ it to the cellular companies.
Thereâs a price for our interconnectedness. Itâs easier for us, because weâre smaller, and much more densely populated.
We have a fifth of the population of the US (67.7 million, compared to 330 million), but you could fit the whole country inside Texas, and have a lot of room left over.
Being crowded together like that makes the wiring much cheaper - but wide open spaces and wilderness donât really exist. I read somewhere that thereâs nowhere in the UK where youâre more than 2 miles from some form of habitation.
I would say infect them, solves the issue. (Yes I have a sadistic streak when it comes to stupidity)
The Pope, Donald Trump, Joe Biden, and a 10 year old schoolboy are on a plane. The pilot announces that the plane is about to crash - but there are only three parachutes.
The Pope says âI have to save the souls of all the catholicsâ, takes a parachute, and jumps.
Trump says âI am the smartest man in Americaâ, takes a parachute, and jumps.
Joe Biden turns to the schoolboy and says " I am old - Iâve had my life. Yours is just beginning. You take the last parachute".
The kid says âDonât worry. There are two parachutes. The smartest man in America took my schoolbagâ.
Ha! Take a look at this!
I will be watching with great interest this Sunday. Sadly, in both cases, they are probably more concerned about the empty plate rather than their devotion to God.
No underlying health problems. 3 of them under 50.
Almost makes you wonder if there could be a genetic link. So little is known about this virus.
Thereâs always a genetic link. Some people always have a degree of natural immunity - and thatâs true of every disease our species has encountered (so far).
When you think about it, this must be so. Otherwise none of us would still be here.
I have seen some suggesting that blood type has a bearing on how badly a person is affected however, when looking at the percentages, they do not seem to really be that different. I imagine it will be a couple of years before we have a lot of detail.
I did notice that China has taken a deeper dive into the fatality numbers and now it is estimated to be just above 1%. Still much higher than the flu but not as bad as the near 4% figures we go early on. Of course, a lot depends on the amount and quality of healthcare received.
