So wild to see everybody taking pictures at the memorial I built. I never thought I’d see so many message terminals here. You guys are amazing.

These were all the named creatures by Kusamoto on Tuscon I noted:

Weird Camel
Mule Deer
Collared Lizard
Mountain Lion
Javelina
Gila Monster
La Cucharacha
Palo Verde Beetle
Cactus Wren

The beetle (is now fittingly a lovely butterfly) Palo Verde is a real beetle and La Cucharacha google mentions references a music video, perhaps a favourite song. Curiously there is a singer in a beetle costume!

He left some pretty whimsical discoveries behind. In one of his systems, there was a message terminal so far under the terrain that it couldn’t be reached by digging. I no-clipped under the surface with a nautilus and worked for a long time to reach it. When I finally did, it said:

ā€œHoney, I’m home LULā€

La Cucharacha is ā€œThe Cockroachā€, IIRC?

Still working on matching the terrain to the image. I think that’s the top of my tower on the right side of the clue he sent?

SheralMyst found the plateau at the coordinates and left a comm-ball. At the right-most corner of the plateau, you can find a spot where the hills line up in the background.

No idea if it is the correct thing to do but, we are definitely building more memories.

It seems like it worked. Not sure exactly what triggered it, but 10 minutes after I posted the group photo of us sitting on the plateau, the website updated.

I cannot get enough of selfie gek, glad you’re here, your photos always bring a smile to this weary travellers face.

Great to see so many photos from everyone, tonight will certainly go down in history and I hope you’re all memorialised in a wiki some day soon for your participation and enthusiasm.

Our journey has just begun, there is more to come
