Thanks, thats’s great to hear
glad I could contribute something a little different… Hope to crack a few smiles with others I have…
That’s why I play NMS! An amazing scene!!!
omg, I love this shot! Sci-fi AF! lol. Gorgeous…
I agree with Kyle! This is why I play this game. Landing on a new planet is like opening a gift. I have a question for the CSD community, I’m a PS4 player and I’m considering a move to PC. If I have a rig that can play at the highest settings how much better (if at all) is the visual quality? It’s still $60 on steam and I can’t decide if it’s worth it.
I moved to PC when the ARG started. I see a definite improvement in graphics. Still, not the best up close on some critters and the ground… Plants, buildings, etc look really good. I am able to run my texture, shadow and reflection qualities at medium, light shafts on, 60 fps. 1920x1080 res. Obviously, I am not running with the game maxed but, when I go back to PS4 to visit bases etc…I can see a pretty big difference. Down side, PC game takes longer to load. Long story short, I notice little things on PC that I do not notice on PS4.
Thanks a lot!
PC built at max is better than PS4. It’s the components.
Xbox One X will prove better than PS4 Pro. -PC is best.
No Man’s Sky is worth evey single penny of $60 !
Regardless of the platform, NMS is my AAA dream.
Explaining that to others however is difficult, as
It’s not a game in the sense that most are used to.
But has a history of going on sale for about $24. Yet,
Still I really think NMS needs a PC better than best.
I agree that a good PC is noticeably better. I only use my PS4 when I’m away from home but there is a difference. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.
The down side is that a well-specified modern gaming PC can cost you upwards of £3,000. You can buy a lot of consoles for that kind of money.
Yup, mine came in at just under 2000 yoyos, was not intended to be a gaming PC, just mostly for music creation/visual media stuff but it can run no mans sky at 60 on a mixture of medium to high settings. That extra grand thrown into a better GPU/CPU and I’d be up to full beam I reckon.
As it stands now, it’s a very expensive paper weight as the Psu is blown and I’m sorta broke XD so the pros and cons of PC Master Race are REAL. Also, pay the extra for surge protection, worth it (of course Dublins first city wide power cut in decades would happen in my lifespan, the one reason I didn’t pay for it, when do we ever have massive power surges? Derp.)
As for how it looks, there’s not a huge difference with draw distance, last i checked people still hadn’t figured out how to increase it but that was months ago and before 1.3, the textures and aliasing/resolution are where you’ll see the real difference, lighting smoother too. Some nice mods can really change it up too but I found myself returning to vanilla after a while.
Have not played on PC since 1.3 landed, went back to my ps4 survival game, because I make music with my PC I feel guilty playing games when I’m at it, so that’s sorta the main reason I haven’t gone back to it.
