I bought some records in the nineties, because I assumed, they would contain older songs that would not be included on any CD or tape I already had. In some cases, they contained distinctly new songs, and others were just the CD content again, just in vinyl. Iâm about to sell them at the next opportunity.

Yes the black cover is very reflective, had to kill all sources of natural light and it still wasnât enough to get a decent shot.

@AdaRynin afaik it still has the same track listing as the streaming/CD releases, it just has a unique aesthetic design on the vinyl for the exclusive edition, whereas the regular editions vinyl are just plain black.
In this case with Journeys, there is not even a CD release, only vinyl or digital stream/download. Unusual though, and I have seen some disappointment because of it.
For initial new first releases, there is usually no difference for the platforms it is made for. However, often times there is marketing involved, even more so nowadays. This means they love to create differences, even between the various platforms. And re-releases in all sorts of variants are sadly enough all too common in todayâs day and age. Anniversaries, store exclusives, special editions, limited editions, limited test runs, box sets, bonus tracks, previously unreleased tracks, ⌠itâs insane at times to be honest. Mostly on vinyl, as that appears to be the most popular platform currently, even though CDâs have slowly been making somewhat of a come-back, and to a lesser extend even cassettes. Many have been slowly moving away from digital âownershipâ, because theyâve been starting to realise actually owning something physical is quite cool. Vinyl is more expensive, so CDs are hip again among the younger and not so rich. Also easier to store.
I love to collect, Iâd never really sell anything, regardless of platform. However, I do occasionally purchase something I already own, either because itâs in better shape, or because itâs just a good buy for re-selling value. Hard to pass on a cheap purchase I know could make me some money.

Also, donât get fooled, a limited edition, is not always limited, a special edition, not always all that special, a store exclusive, not always exclusive. Often times they can call it whatever they like and get away with it. There appear to be no consequences, even in a more (pretending to be) strict Europe.

Interesting, I never thought about that, feels true. Itâs easy to toy with collectorsâ FOMO â and then sell the same thing at a normal price if still popularâŚ
There are surely laws against âunfair marketing liesâ in the EU, but they are easy to avoid. Simply stop numbering it, make it a different colour, change the packaging, etc. ⌠and that probably makes it a legally distinct separate non-collector item.
Even in games, they are selling âexclusive limitedâ spaceships as DLC! Thatâs not even a physical object, how can it be limited?

The cover art feels a bit different from update art weâve gotten over the years, despite reusing older assets. I was surprised to see Kate Houlton credited for the Album art too.
This iteration might be feeling a bit cramped in itâs lil corner now 
What does the album cover depict? Looks like an easel with a painting of a crashed ship?
Paul (65dos) mentions being at a convention with other video game composers recently, I wonder if theyâre looking at getting in to/are working on another VG soundtrack?
Maybe 6 years ago or so I recorded some of the NMS start screen music⌠Does one of you remember? It played at least a dozen different loops. (Then one release turned the volume down on them and I stopped recording new ones.)

Yeah. Even the T shirt comes in at about $50 USD. Cost is not retiree-friendly.
Itâs actually cheaper to buy a vinyl record at a gigs merch store than a freaking tshirt at a gigs merch store these days, and itâs not like theyâre made of good material. Usually a polyester hybrid of sorts. Hell, a full cotton tshirt shouldnât even cost that much but theyâre rare enough these days I could understand the price if it WAS 100% cotton.
My dad was working at David Byrne last week and said heâd bring me back a tshirt.
I said no, do NOT, a record will be the same price, if they have any at the merch store get me that instead 
Record was 40, tshirts were 60 
First time creating a 3D print. It came out a big tree trunk or something akin, but after breaking off all that support carefully, it turned out pretty nice. The camera and the hose on the backpack right side, decided to stick with the tree clippings, while the antenna on the helmet never grew any noticeable size. I saved the hose with some hotglue, while the camera and antenna were fixed with a coated paperclip bend and cut to size and pinned in place after heating a needle to make a fit.
